Title: St. Louis County Police Employment
Post by: DiedrichH on March 21, 2017, 01:36:15 PM
I'm applying for work (that's a terrifying experience on it's own). I applied for a job with the St. Louis County police for a civilian job. I've been contacted to progress to the next step of the application. Yay! I was wondering, though, does anybody have experience working with the St. Louis County police? I've just started T and have no noticeable effects from it yet. I do, however, try to present as male full time. By the time I'd start employment, I should be starting to have some changes in muscle mass. Am I going to be potentially denied the job? Does anyone know if they'll respect my pronoun choices or use my (very annoyingly female) legal name? Any insight at all would be appreciated.

I have no input on working for them.
But want to wish you good luck!

I'm sure it will be fine, the only thing I am thinking is that since it's with the police department any paper work may have to use your old name unless you've changed it on your documents already? I'm not sure to be honest.

Don't worry about it and I am sure you'll ace the interview!
