Title: Will HRT help
Post by: davina61 on March 21, 2017, 03:59:55 PM
Don't know if its stress (not a stress person ,very laid back) but everything is getting on my wick, I came close to twating my manager and walking out of my job several times lately, he cant help being a total idiot/moron . Waiting to see GP to go on HRT so will it calm me down? Might have to go sick as cant even get a holiday at the moment . See that peeing me off, lets hope some fem hormones do the trick.

A pretty common symptom of gender dysphoria is irritability and anger and for most people HRT brings all that under control.

Sometimes estrogens will calm you down a bit, but more often a reduction in testosterone is more effective. A few months after I started estradiol, I noticed that nothing bothered me. I felt at peace with the world. I was also taking spironolactone and finasteride at that time as well.

As stated already, the lack of T will take some of the edge off.  I found it much easier to deal with situations when my first inclination was no longer forcing my way through whatever needed to be addressed.

I am so much easier going now than before HRT. Likely you will be too.
