My wife and I took in a transgendered teen and she loves it at our place. Her name is Stephanie and is 16 years old.She is glad my wife and I are there for her.Knows I am a fulltime crossdresser.Learned Stephanie felt she is really a girl at age 7 and does see a therapist. Her bio parents were non accepting of this and did kick her in December.Basically said she is not allowed in anymore.Stephanie did come out in December and doing better.A family friend told us about her and knew we had the huge heart to take her in.Good news is Stephanie does go on the HRT next week and she is excited about it.My wife and I see a huge change since we took her in this month.Plus we are in the process of adopting her as well.
Her parents kicked her out of the house at age 16 and don't want anything to do with her? That's got to hurt a lot. Actually, I'd say: traumatic. Not to mention that if they threw her out, I'd guess things weren't going well for quite a while before then.
I'm glad you're taking her to a therapist, she's going to need it, above and beyond the gender issues.

Her bio parents said live with it being the gender she was born originally.Did not accept it at all and did not want her in their house after that.Stephanie started seeing a therapist last month diagnosed with gender dysphoria.Great thing she likes is my wife and I say the pronouns she and her around her.Stephanie's self esteem has gone up since we took her in too
I think this is absolutely a wonderful thing that you are doing! Stephanie's life will be so much better with proper care and a supportive family. (I know, obvious to you, but I just had to say it!)
Thank you for being such a wonderful and caring couple.
At school, her teachers say she has a huge positive attitude now.Starts on the HRT on Monday.
Alex,
Oh my gosh, can we clone you? That is such an amazingly sweet thing you are doing. I bow to your wonderfulness!
Moni
Plus Stephanie knows she can come talk to me anytime. My wife and I saw she has a great future ahead of her still, this is one reason why we took her in.
This is absolutely amazing and I think more people are needed in the world like you and your wife. The troubles homeless youth deal with are already disgusting but being trans on top of that Its not a nice thing at all. I've been through it and finding people who actually care and will allow you to grow while being yourself is extremely rare. You and your wife are doing an amazing job by the sounds of it. Great work and i'm sure Stephanie is looking forward to starting HRT on Monday. :) :) :)

This is fantastic! I'm glad to hear Stephanie is doing so well in your care.
I want to do this in the future! I've never wanted kids of my own. I don't like babies or small children, but the idea of adopting someone in the 12-16 year range appeals to me, especially if they identify as transgender. I want them to give them a chance and a loving home.
Well done. I wish there were more people like you and your wife. I really don't understand how parents like these can so easily walk away from their child. It's creepy to say the least.

What an absolutely wonderful thing you have done and are doing!
My heart breaks for that poor child after what her biological parents have done, but jumps for joy at the happiness she has found with you.
Much love xx
