I don't know where you live, but you can probably google a transgender-friendly clinic to get specialized help for your symptoms.
Mixing hormones can be tricky for your body to handle, possibly even dangerous, and it's safer to see people specifically trained and experienced in working with transgender patients.

Welcome to Susan's Place. From what I understand, testosterone isn't a perfect blocker and shark week can happened sometimes. Something that would be useful to know is what your T blood levels are just before you receive a dosage. If your dosage is on the low side, that could explain what is going on. The guys should be along latter on and I am sure you will receive more useful information from them.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

I'm also in the UK. When you say london gic do you mean charring cross or one of the private ones? Aren't the gic telling your gp what dose to prescribe you?

You could try GenderGP; haven't used it myself but have heard good things. Or http://transfigurations.org.uk/trans-friendly-doctors/ to find a trans friendly gp

Maybe you could ask to be put on gel if that would be easier? It works the same as injections but is better bcos you get a consistent dtandard dose.

As for mixing hormones  I think Raell simply meant you're mixing estrogen and testosterone.

From my understanding it is normal for folks to have this happen around the 2 year line. I'm not sure the reason or science but it is something that pretty routinely gets spoken about. If lower T levels between shots is the cause for shark week to be rearing its bloody head than possibly switching to a once a week or biweekly schedule would help eliminate some of the ups and downs of your T level. I'm on a once a week schedule and am very happy with the lack of ups and downs.

By mixing hormones, I meant that you naturally have female hormones, but are adding male hormones and making a hormone mix.
In my case, this happens naturally, without artificial hormones, since I seem to have both estrogen and testosterone at work, being bigender.

I've always been strong, fast, aggressive, more like a male than a female, yet I had periods, had two children, and lived as a female most of my life, although my lifestyle was more wild than that of most men..out day and night hiking, cliff climbing, training and riding horses, etc. My stamina was endless, and strength so great I had to be careful I didn't break things, even though I am a tiny, femme-looking woman in body.

When my female hormones waned after menopause, my male side began to assert itself and dysphoria increased until I had to take hormone-balancing herbs like St. John's Wort, and Sarsaparilla.
