Title: AA birthday
Post by: Wanda Jane on April 07, 2017, 12:02:08 PM
Yayy. Yesterday was my sobriety bday. 4/6/15 to be exact. 2 years woot woot. I actually will pick up my chip tonight. I went to my local gender support meeting last night since we only meet twice a month. I drank AND drugged alcoholically for 40 years. AA saved my life and led me back to God. My home group has supported me in my coming out and transition in an incredible way. The last 2 years have been an amazing journey I couldn't have scripted in a million years. If you are still struggling with addiction, the 12 steps do work. You have to want it and DO it though. You won't regret it and, if you are anything like I was, what do you have to lose but pain!

  Good for you Wanda,

Each and every day adds up don't they? Keep up the good work for another day and before you know it you will have 3 years.

  Keep coming back

  Hugs,
   Jeanette
