Just a silly little question I guess :). I just wonder if people take on there suppose to be birth name or feel more comfotable with another. Still, i am curious what everyone name would have been. A short story, if I was born correctly my name would have been.... get ready for it... ASHLEY! in fact my male birth name came from Ashley. For whatever reason, i recall asking my parent when i was young what my girl name would have been and they said Ashley. If i recall correctly they had a feeling they were going to get a baby girl anyways but they also looked for a male name. Austin was very popular in 1993/94 and my mom thought it was too common so she decided if i was born male my name would have been Ashton instead. How about all you?
Probably Victor. My father was so into that name he wanted the feminine version of it too if I turned out the flip side. It would have been Victor or Victoria if he'd got his way entirely. My mother hated the shortened nicknames for the feminine, though, so they went with something else.
I sort of like Willow, it fits me well.
It would either be the feminine version of my male name (Frances) or Rose. Rose is a family name.
Amelia. I might actually use that as a middle name after the name change. :)
I would have been called Elizabeth Alexandria...which is exactly what I changed it too :)
Liz
It would have been sarah-elizibeth. Kind of glad it didn't go that way, every Sarah I've ever met was self-centered.
I have no idea, and no way of finding out now. I chose my new name because it sounds a bit like my AMAB name and keeps my initials the same.
No way of knowing what my bio mom would've named me, never asked my mom. What I think should be my female name and what my adopted mom and bio mom thought, are 3 totally different things. Never asked them, when I knew them.
Being truthful. I just go with my own choosing, since what I chose. Actually its Lucia, so, pretty sure what bio mom and adopted mom would've chosen something else.
I'm old school, born before ultrasound so no one knew ahead of time. It was customary for a girl name and a boy name to be ready. I would have been Maureen, which went to my sister the next year. We're Irish!

Thats a funky name :)!! i like. But tbh, you look like a Devlyn to me anways <3
I am from the old days too. My mother was positive she was having a girl (she was right) and I was going to be named Monica Joleane.
Rachel, after my great granny :)
I would have been Michael John. I thought about adopting that name, but I just know too many Mikes. I'd end up with a nickname, which would probably be some variation on "Mike who used to be a girl." No thanks. I'll go with something less common.

Im not too sure what that all means, but im going to smile anyways: :)
Vermithrax Pejorative.
Nikolas, I'm not sure about my middle name. My dad always wanted a son he could call Nick, so I decided to make it my new middle name. :)
Nicholas Levi. My parents actually went with Nicole for my given middle name, so I'm planning on changing it to Nicholas or some variation some time in the future.

With ultrasound being what it was in the early 80's, the doctors and my parents were certain I was going to be AFAB, up until I popped out with boy bits.

Dont you just hate when that happens!
i would have been john jr. dodged that bullet (in the worst possible way, naturally) and it went to my little brother instead. so now at least i'm free to pick my own...
I would have been Regina.
Looks like I dodged that bullet.
Penelope. Which is the name I'm going to use.
It's the only name my mom picked out.

That be the capital city of Saskatchewan!
My older sister is named Donna so Dawn is not too much of a stretch to believe since everyone for three generations name began with a D.
My mom only had a girl name picked out. I was originally supposed to be Arwen Evenstar (yes, from Lord of the Rings) but cooler heads prevailed. My grandpa said NO and in the 1960s the male voice wins. The hospital wouldn't write anything down without his approval. Her second choice was a unisex name, first and middle. She was a 60s radical feminist and didn't want me to be discriminated against just by the name on the job application.
Oddly, even though I'm bi-gender I HATE the name I was given, mostly because the first name was too unusual and confusing for people, and the middle name is clunky; neither graceful nor strong, and it belongs to my grandparents' generation. My gender isn't agender or androgynous, it's distinctly male and female. I am happy with really femme or really masculine. In-between bothers me. A non-binary who is really attracted to the binary extremes of femininity and masculinity.

In my family it's J. Ever since my grandfather (John), everyone is named J names, or at least the J-sound (such as Georgie). It makes family get-together's a bit awkward at times. Especially because there are six Johns, most with the same last name. Several even have the same middle name. So it's John, Johnny, Johnny D, John Adam, etc. And there are more that have John as a middle name. Phew!
When I picked my names, I made sure to include a J name, just because it is family tradition.
My grandad is Donald, my father is Donald, I'm Donald my son is Donald. My grandma is Doris so is my daughter

Catherine or Katherine. Family lore is one parent wanted one way, the other the other way. Saved that argument when I showed up.
I'm big on tradition. When I go for a legal name change I'll use Catherine as a middle name so I'll have the same initials as my grandmother who I loved to pieces and miss her terribly.

When I asked my mom she said no specific name, but the initials would be the same. So I chose Cori, and I'm still working on an M.
Maeve?
Mabd?
Maki?
Maleficent? Hehehe.
You know how hard it is to find a non-diminutive "M" name not derived from Eastern Mediterranean sources? Oy!

My mom has always said she would have named me Harley had I been AMAB.

If i had been born correctly my name would probably been Patricia. If I had to choose now it would probably be Allison.
My younger brother got the name i would have had had i been amab. then i suggested my favourite boy names for my other younger brothers before i transitioned, like a fool
Laura. :)
While I was considering what my chosen name would be I did ask my mother what names that had considered for me if I had been born physically female. I would have either been Erin or Christine. I just didn't really feel a connection to either of those names so I went with Alyssa.
probably Erica, thats my fem-version name but i dislike it :P
I prefer Elizabeth ;)
Ariel. Luckily the "male" name I was given is actually a female name too, so I am keeping Alex.
Parents said Jacqueline or Janine.
I am not sure what name my parents wanted to call me if I would have been a girl at birth, however I know my dad wanted my name to start with an A so I could inherit some engraved plates from my great grand father (effin stupid reason in my view lol). Anjyways my dad wanted to call me alexandre but my mom disagreed and they settle on 'Alexis'. In france it is a boys name...
Now when I migrated to Australia, in my early 20s,I found out it is mainly a girls name here and boy I am loving it!
Planning my transition atm and right now I beleive I should keep my name. I am Alexis :) Everything happens for a reason.
Got to love it when things work out for a reason!
My biological parents took his first and middle names, and flipped them. If there is a female version of Raymond, my mother could not think if it when I asked.
As for my adoptive parents, they specifically looked for a boy, and then gave me a biblical name.

As a man, I always disliked "Randy" because it sounded too girly. Not to mention when I found out what Brits think it means :D Now as a maybe-female, I think it fits. Not sure if I should change the spelling to "Randi" though.
My mom has told me I would have been Elizabeth. But they hadn't settled on a middle name yet.
I have always liked the name Kelly, so when the time comes I will be Kelly Elizabeth.

Fantastic name Elizabeth ;)
My name name would've been Leanne, but my younger sister ended up with it.
Teresa would be a great name.I have many friends in that name. Or Victoria, just like a queen.
