Title: What can I do to look like this?
Post by: VioletKnight on April 17, 2017, 07:10:38 PM
(https://pbs-h2.twimg.com/media/C9oaMOMVwAA6stt.jpg)

The photo on the left is my real face taken in the bathroom mirror and the photo on the right is the face app version. Now a phone app probably won't give completely accurate results but gives me a fair idea about how I can look with FFS.

Overall passing is a huge issue for me because of my face. While it isn't the most masculine it isn't feminine either and I always get gendered as male. I also have trouble looking at myself in the mirror, so FFS is the only option to cure disphoria.

Heres what I plan from this

Jaw and chin contouring

The picture on the left has a significantly smaller jaw, so I will be getting that for sure

forehead and brow

I heard this is very important and plan on type III. While the eyes can't be made bigger forehead surgery can open them up more. I'm also planning of arching my eyebrows more

Rhinoplasty

This one is a maybe, but the nose on the left has a higher tip and is likely less curved outward.

Upper lip

The upper looming the left picture is more raised

Cheekbones

This one is a bit tough because the cheekbones of both pictures seem to be the same size but the left one has the places a bit lower months face. My cheekbones have bugged me for a while and I think thinks this is it. I only knowing cheekbones implants I'm not sure if they can move them lower however.

Let me know if these are good options and is appreciate surgeon recommendations as well.

That sounds expensive. Do this first: Smile and run that through the app. Then do it out in the world, I'll bet you get gendered female more often. A smile is the best cosmetic we have.  :)

Just curious what app you used for this.

I agree with you on the things you need.

Jaw and Chin is what stuck out to me.  Cheek implants or fat grafting will help give you the softness the right picture has.

I would recommend Dr zukowski . Only because I'm going to him and I think he is the best/ especially with soft tissue .

Violet,

In my opinion, you do not need any surgery.

I would suggest shaping the eyebrows and see what can be done about the spots on your cheeks.

HRT and a little makeup will do wonders.

Violet I think you have a wonderful beautiful face!!! My suggestion is start with HRT. I believe you already have a soft fem appearance, could you look even more feminine? Sure of course you could (lol I absolutely love those lips of yours). But back to what I was saying...start with HRT wait an see what it has to offer. You may see a feel different about your face after a year or so. Not to mention makeup can work miracles!! I wish the best you

I've been on HRT for a little more than 14 months.

14 months?

Looks like a good start to me.

FFS is expensive and leaves scars on your face. I know because I have them and I paid for them. But I am 67 years old and somethings needed to be done.

Give your HRT a little more time and really, you look very nice the way you are.

Hi Violet,

I don't think that anyone of us can tell another whether or not we should get FFS. If you want to look different, more feminine, than you do now, then FFS will get you there in the hands of a good surgeon. How much you'll look like the modified photo on the right, I can't say. Remember that FFS won't repair your skin or change your complexion. OTOH, that's why we have make-up!  ;)

I do suggest, as others have, that you work a bit on your eyebrows. It's not very expensive to have your eyebrows shaped by a professional and it makes a big difference.

I went with Dr Rossi for FFS as you'll know if you read my thread in this group. I'm happy with what he did for me and I feel like he was a good fit. It seems that some surgeons are more or less aggressive or conservative on how far they will go with forehead surgery. I recommend that you look at the photos posted in this forum group to get an idea of what you can expect of various surgeons. Then when you have a few that you want to look into in greater depth, you can contact their offices and see what recommendations you get.

Your list is good. While it's a long list of procedures, the cumulative effect of a number of subtle changes can be quite profound. My only comment is that I don't know whether it's necessary to have your nose done as yours is pretty as it is. Of course, if your forehead is being done, you may end up needing the rhinoplasty so that the surgeon can blend the bridge of the nose with your glabella.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

How noticeable and big are the scars? I know the forehead is taken from near the hairline, so it probably isn't noticeable. What about for the jaw/chin, is it under the jaw?

...

Um, men smile too... they still look like men.  Women don't smile... they still look like women.

Get back with me with which picture is "passing" as a woman, okay?
