So i have some good news, yesterday i "came out" to my (Step)daughter she knew i was Trans before i meet her, but for almost 8 years i never said a word to her about it. Last week i went to the Dr to start legit HRT so i can make the last moves to get my surgery. Having so many Dr. apts for me is not normal so i knew she was worried about me but didn't ask because she didn't want to be nosy. so i felt great after the apt and have stayed in my new voice since then and when i told her last night why all the Dr. apts she was so happy to finally have me talk to her about it, she said she has posted stuff for the last couple years on Facebook and brought up stories about trans people cause she wanted me to feel safe using bathrooms and be proud of who i am (which i am not 100%) She said "you are a woman you will always be a woman your a mum" It felt like a small weight was lifted from me. She told me that she googled clinics for my voice and GRS because if i ever told her she wants to help. She is now the second person in my day to day life that isn't a medical pro. anyway i just thought i would share something good
Always
Alice
Congratulation Alice. Telling someone and having them accept you for who you are is such a great feeling. I've hard mixed results myself and very few that I've told so far. The ones that accept are the ones you live for.
Hugs,
Jeanette

Thank you all for the congrats it was a good conversation :)
Congratulations, always a joy to read good coming out stories like this.
Good on you. Isn't acceptance wonderful? Heck of a lot better than passing, in my opinion. Because acceptance means people are committed to you. To me passing is like sneaking over the border. I know that is simplistic but I am simple :-)
