Hello everyone! I hope this doesn't get moved, as I'd like to hear as many experiences as possible :)
How old were you when you started HRT? I just started and I'm 22, and I'm curious to know what the "average" age is :) I know that for older generations it was probably harder to get HRT, depending on the country and I noticed that people are starting sooner and sooner, which is absolutely a good thing!
When did you start noticing the first results? I'm MTF and I'm such an impatient person lol I can't wait to have some breast tissue, have thinner hair ect. When you've waited for so long it's so hard to be patient! How did you manage to be patient?
Obviously the question is open to all of you! It would be nice to hear from different people and get to know each other a little better :)
Hi, Christina.
I started HRT at age 62. I am currently three months into it. I started to notice sensitivity in my nipples at about two weeks. By six weeks, my lips were fuller, I had detectable breast tissue, and my rate of hair loss had slowed.
I have also noticed a change in my personality. Whereas my old male persona was quite fearful about transitioning, Kathy is unstoppable.
Hi Christina. You are right about years ago it was somewhere between very difficult and impossible to get the quality and availability of professional care that is available today, quite expensive also. I was 41 when I got 6 months of high dose HRT without a counselor or MD. I don't recommend that toady, good help is available but back then it was what it was.
In the six months nipple sensitivity started in the first couple of weeks, breast development was much slower and was just really beginning towards the end of the six months when the supply and source of the hormones ended. The biggest effect for me was an incredible mental peace, overall feeling wonderful and a great joy that something positive, something right was finally happening.
Fast forward 27 years, early this year I finally found a counselor who recommended an MD and I was given scripts for low dose estrogen and progesterone. Almost immediately the same mental peace and overall feeling wonderful returned. Quite a surprise to me was how quickly breast growth was going back on HRT especially considering this time it's low dose, I assume because of the 6 month head start I had. Nipple sensation while already there increased significantly. With a total of just over 9 months combined with HRT I just haven't yet noticed any changes that are often reported such as finer hair, fat redistribution etc. The only noticeable hair change is the near absence of breast hair. I had been using Nair and after restarting HRT it just didn't grow back. The testicles have definitely become smaller and softer, libido has been swinging up & down quite a bit from one day to the next.
I hope this helps answer some of your questions, should I think of anything else I'll post again.
37.
Changes almost immediately, as is often the case with male hormones. As in next day (mentally), the first week and the first month (physically).
You're lucky to start so young. I wanted HRT since around your age, but didn't actually get it until age 33. I have been on it for 6 months and noticed almost no changes at all until 6 months. I have had zero personality changes and zero shift in mood. I believe this is because my personality was already where I wanted it to be, and my mood remains a persistent impatient and dysphoric.
The physical changes are very obvious to me: thinning body hair, slight increase in breasts, skin softening, hair softening, and regrowth of lost hair. I'm glad to see the changes start to happen, but it's very obvious to me that I desperately need electrolysis, and HRT isn't going to solve the problem. Though be aware that being on HRT makes electrolysis substantially more effective, according to Dr. McGinn. Best of luck and be a little patient, although I know it's hard if not impossible.
It was 64 for me (yeah I'm a bit slow on the uptake) I was feeling physical change within 7 weeks as indicated by soreness in 2 target areas of my chest. They were starting to grow! ;D
Hugs,
Jeanette
HI I am 33 years old I started just Christmas eve 2016. I noticed my mood change very sensitive feelings, lower sex drive, nipples and breast tissue changing with in the first month. 1-4 months I noticed some changes in my face and stomach and my neck got thinner.
I started at 59 and noticed softer skin and a calmer mind by 4 weeks. Very strong mental changes and A cup by 6 months.
Started at 25, noticed breast growth pains by a few weeks in, A cup by 4-6 months. Skin softening well under way by 2-3 months, and thinning body hair growth by 6-8 months. Emotional changes started peaking around 3 months.
I started at 25 and noticed all sorts of stirrings in my body within a month.
Things won't really get noticeable for a while! So be patient
Hi Christina,
I was 56, and I started to see/feel changes within two weeks, maybe even a little at the end of the first week. It definitely calmed me down overall, and started with a little breast tenderness and plumping. By 6 months, it was definitely softening my skin and facial features in obvious ways. Good luck to you on your journey!
Erin
I started a week after my 35th birthday. I noticed skin softening in a few days. Breast buds formed after about a week. Facial changes were subtle by around 3 months and signification around the 7-8 month time. My body responded fast and well despite not getting my levels where we want them until around 9 months. Took a good while to knock T down and boost E.

54. Mental changes started on day 3. Physical changes at day 12.
On the morning of day 12, (weekly injections) my nipples woke me up. Super sensitive.
By two months I had the smallest of buds. At 5 months I was an A cup. Breast growth had definitely slowed :( I was hoping for more for bathing suit season in the northern hemisphere.

I started 8 months and 9 days ago when I was 64. The inner turmoil I carried disappeared almost immediately and thus far has not come back.
34 for me
Started at 39, a little more than 3 weeks and not nearly the success others have mentioned in such a short time. In many ways I've been a-typical in my response. I've had more morning wood than I have in the last 15 years (almost daily now), my body hair growth seems to have actually sped up and I've actually lost weight (weight gain is supposed to be a side effect of the Estradiol).
I have noticed that as the weight has been coming off (about 10 lbs over those 3 weeks) it seems to be coming off in a more feminine pattern. I have started to develop a waist line. I've also noticed (and been confirmed by my therapist and my electrologist) that my facial skin is softening and some of the fine lines have disappeared. Breast response has been nil, no sensitivity, no signs of growth, nadda.
I'll say, it is really hard not to be disappointed when I hear of people talking about getting sensitivity and buds as short as 2 weeks in. I am on low-dose at this point so maybe that's part of it, IDK. I have another month before my first follow-up. I was told that at that time we may up my dosage. Fingers crossed and good luck to you as well.
I'm beginning to feel tender on my breast and slowly growing in my eight months. My facial hair got thinner. I was began before my 57 birthday

Started at 44. Noticed mental changes within a week but it took almost 5 weeks to regain my long lost energy and focus (and another 5 after changing hormone dosage). Breast became sensitive within about two week. Now at almost 4 month they are an A cup and still sore / tender. By now changes are pretty obvious to my face as well and I had a few people starting to ask questions (I am somewhat out so far)
I'm 47 and I have a b after 8 months

I myself started t-blockers at age 19, and then started the full regimen at age 20. I felt changes in my butt (not joking) in the first day of estrogen, and then a lot of fat quickly moved to that area. I was inadvertently getting gendered as female at two months of transitioning.
I'm probably a more extreme case, though. Results have been great nonetheless, and I wouldn't take back my early transition age for anything. I just look like a somewhat tall girl who's very tenuous---exactly as I'd look if I had started at age 14, but arguably not mid-20s.

Within a month you will notice

I find this thread fascinating. The results seem to be all over the map, though generally positive. Looking at the ages reported I hope it can dispell some of the myth that age leads to reduced results. Hardly a scientific survey, but a cursory read leads back to the old ymmv line of thought.

Started HRT at age 62, spironolactone anti-androgen, and staged 4 weeks later, estradiol patches.
I started to see mental changes about 3 weeks into spiro, as I got moments of calm and clarity of thinking, no mental 'noise'. By two months in that was my new normal.
About 1 month in, shortly after estradiol was added, I started to have a little soreness in muscles and puffiness in the areolae. About two months in I started seeing breast 'budding'.
At 3 months testosterone levels were down to the normal female range. At 6 months in after adjustments my E levels were finally in the low normal female range.
I started HRT at age 43 and started to feel changes in 3 days and started seeing visual changes in less than a month. Went full time after 3½ months of HRT when I started getting male fail :)
Started at 24 on Spiro and Estradiol sublingual, just under 2 months ago.
These last two weeks, I've been getting a lot of breast/nipple soreness and sensitivity. I can also definitely feel the breast buds and hard mass people describe, but I'm not yet at the point where I need to wear a bra or anything under a shirt to hide it.
Sex drive feels much more under control, which is great for me. It's still there so far, but much different. I prefer it this way. I don't know how to describe it other than smoother, and even if it happens at inconvenient times, it doesn't feel as annoying.
BUT, I also just started an antidepressant so we'll see how long that lasts...
Aside from that, it's hard to say if anything else is noticable aside from side effects of Spiro (dry mouth and needing to stay hydrated more)
I started on HRT when I was 53. I first noticed physical changes about 2 weeks in and those have increased quite nicely in the months since I started. I am seeing changes much greater than I ever thought possible. My hips are now my widest measurement!
I started at 34. I noticed a slight difference in how I looked about a month after I started HRT. Most people couldn't see it, but one other friend said she could tell something changed, but she couldn't say exactly what it was. I think I looked younger. My skin had started to soften, and I had lost about 5 pounds because I was doing somewhat better at watching what I was eating.
I started at 55. Spiro and sublingual Estradiol. It's been 4 1/2 months. I had fatty man boobs all my life so while they haven't changed yet by the measuring tape, I can say that not only are they sore all the time but the nipples crazy itch off and on. The nipples and areola are also getting bigger. Most important though is that the mass of my breasts is increasing. They're denser and heavier with the internal bud/duct growth.
Mentally and emotionally, I am in a much better place now. I don't feel that constant "noise" of dysphoria. Or the cycling need to dress and be female. I feel that mostly I am female inside. The need for sexual release is gonzo, thank you very much. It's more on demand now but out of sight, out of mind. I still have a bout of dysphoria now and then when I have a beard shadow or some social interaction brings it to fore but not in as depressing a way as before HRT. I expected mood swings but really just got a deeper view into my feelings - which I also like. I can cry but it's not uncontrollable. Maybe some biology there as my sisters and mother are/were not highly emotive people.
I see a great therapist. We now can work on my other "stuff" (anxiety, worry etc.) besides the being Trans thing. Before, it was all about that but now it's in perspective. And that's important because just because you go on HRT, doesn't mean your other underlying "stuff" goes away. No panacea here.
Other physical changes:I love my skin and hair now. Smooth and soft. My thin spot on top seems less thin. I think I can detect some lower body shape starting to happen.
Just no complaints. In fact, my doc asked if I want to up the Estradiol dose after my first hormone blood work 3 months in. T was just a bit high and E was just a bit low. I let it ride because I'm seeing results and I feel good. (And those tests are notoriously inaccurate).
I'm not transitioning socially imminently so slow and steady is just fine. And like I said, mentally and emotionally I feel female inside. When male fail happens, I'll consider it.
Good luck and hope that helps.
I started at 54. I have been on finasteride for three months and estradiol patches for one month. My patience has increased - I don't get frustrated as easily as I used to. I also began noticing breast changes after three weeks - soreness and some definite tissue development.
I have been on HRT for around 2 years. I was 36 when I started. Across that time my levels have been very stable. T=0.4 E=1200 pmol. I found I get the greatest results from implanted estrogen and spiro.
I noticed some changes in sense of smell and mental focus immediately. My libido plummeted within days of beginning spiro.
After about 3-4 weeks, my nipples were swollen and tender, and a bit itchy. After 3 months, they were clearly developing breast buds. At that stage, my skin was getting much softer and my lips were much darker.
At about 7 months, I got fitted for my first bra. My body stopped producing sperm altogether, and by 9 months, pretty much stopped producing semen. By about 9 months I was struggling to hide my transition. People were noticing changes. I changed my name and gender presentation in public. At 9 months was also roughly when I started to notice some fat redistribution.
At about 14 months, I was consistently passing in public. My disposition towards sex was very different. I could orgasm multiple times. Th shape and colour of my genitals were changing. I had lost a lot of muscle mass, and gained a lot of fat. My emotional sensitivity had shifted dramatically too, finding this whole new ocean of emotion.
Since then, the physical effects have slowed down a little. My face continues to change, and there has been some slight further breast growth and areola development over the last 3 months. I mostly wear a c-cup now, but can still squeeze into a B.
But since people began reading me as female, the biggest aspect of my transition has been social. At the beginning of transition, I was so worried about transphobia that I didn't really stop to think about how women are treated in society. Now it's a rude shock that keeps confronting me every few days in different ways. It really is a man's world out there, and women are expected to be demure, unobtrusive, and subservient. Still, I've forged some amazing new friends, both cis and trans, who are supportive people, and help me work through these challenges.
I have had so many weird, funny and unusual experiences. During that phase when you are visibly between genders, people would often call me ma'am and sir... all in the same sentence. I had to have a genital ultrasound recently, which confused a few people. They were trying to tell me the doctor had made an error because he had written 'testicular ultrasound' which can't apply to women.
I also found myself involved in all kinds of confronting conversations about women's issues that I never really considered. Where I've confided with other women about my struggles with gender, many have reciprocated and shared their own personal stories. I have listened to women's experiences of sexual assault, stalking, workplace inequality, rape, period problems, sex problems, misogyny, mental health issues, reproductive rights, infertility, pregnancy problems, and a whole lot more. In some ways, those conversations did more for my transition than any medication could. I learned how to be emotionally supportive without feeling the need to provide solutions. I found common ground and forged connections and friendships with other women.
I dated a guy for three months and learned a lot about how gender roles affect romance in a hetero relationship. (that's a whole other thread).
The TERF-TRANS war continues to trouble me, and I am vocal about ways to reconcile the seemingly conflicting ideals of equality.
I am undergoing SRS in two months time, and then FFS in September. At that point, I will probably consider my transition to be complete.
Hope that helps! All the best for your journey. [emoji4]

I'm a late starter, I started at 61.
I started at 35 and started to see changes within a few weeks. I had little soft patches of skin all over the place after 2 - 3 weeks. my hair was feeling softer. I didn't keep track of the exact time lines but pretty continuously everything kept changing. my skin is soo soft now as is my hair. my breasts have filled out in the last few weeks (end of month 5) I measure as an A cup but they aren't big enough that I NEED to wear a bra. Although there is enough that I could.
My experience may not be a fair comparison as I was on Spiro for 5 months before I started taking estrogen. My estradiol level was also at 136 before my first patch. this post got me wondering about how fast peoples dosages were upped as that could affect things as well. My doctor increased it at a month and again at 3 months to, what I'm told is, the max dose for using patches.
I started testosterone blockers and estrogen when I was 12. Since I did not have any real male characteristics it was not so much a drastic change. It was more like slow development of my female characteristics. I do remember my nipples and breast area being really sore after about 3 weeks into it. I was also starting to have the beginnings of spontaneous erections that boys that age get. I remember being so happy that the HRT killed that in its tracks.

136 pmol/L, I assume since you're Canadian. This is low (37 pg/ml) and within male range (up to 40-60 pg/ml or 147-220 pmol/L). Overlaps female range, 20-650 pg/ml (73-2,386 pmol/L).
QuoteI started testosterone blockers and estrogen when I was 12.
I'm sure many of us here envy you.

I'm not sure doctor didn't tell me the units but he did say that it was high since I wasn't taking estrogen yet. so I'm thinking it was 136 pg/ml because then it would be high for a male body.
Started at 36 and it's been almost two years. I personally feel like like I look exactly the same until I compare old pictures to now. To be honest, it's hard to quantify exactly what changed but I get male fail often even though my hair is still short and I live as a male. So there is that.
I started HRT by the age of 40 years. First changes I noticed with my breasts after 7 weeks in terms of sensibility, kind of soreness or tenderness.
I started hrt when I was 17. My Dr started me out on high doses of everything. About 2 months into it a lot of changes started happening. My sexdrive totally crashed. My boobs started developing and they were really sore. After about 4 months my facial features softened and I started being gendered as female. The hair on my legs thinned out a lot. I never had chest hair but I did have a happy trail down my stomach. It turned into tiny little fuzz you can't even see or really feel. One thing I really noticed was how the hrt killed erections. If you are stuck with male parts you can't help but get a boner when you see someone you think is totally hot. After a couple of months on hrt when I looked at a really hot guy I still thought he was hot but nothing happened down there anymore. When he first gave me the RX for hrt the doctor told me to eat better and try to gain some weight so the estrogen would have a little fat to work with.
I started this year at 23 but just 5 days shy of turning 24. I stopped for about 4 weeks in April going into May and then started back on May 19. Other than moodiness and getting irritable more easily, which was almost right of the bat, I started noticing physical changes at the beginning of this month.
I started at 43. I will be 44 in a few days, and I must say hrt has had some wonderful effects for me. Smooth skin being a big one. Also, the moodiness is all but gone! Huzzah!!
I started at 27. Spiro and sublingual estradiol, which I am still on but at twice the dose that I started with. Around 1 month I started getting a lot calmer and more pleasant to be around. I wasnt a miserable ->-bleeped-<- anymore. Month 2 I had to start with a sports bra to protect the sensitive chest and hide swelling. I started to gain weight once my levels were in the female range. I was underweight and had 7% body fat when I started so most of the weight I gained went to female regions and there wasnt much guy fat to weight to redistribute. Before hormones I was always trying to stay bone thin because it made me look more androgynous but I find now that I look much more feminine heavier. I was 125lbs at 5'9.5" and now I am 155 at the same height. Haha I went from an average height guy to a tall girl :P
threads like this make me so glad I signed up for this board!
I just started HRT on Monday (my 31st birthday) and so far I haven't really felt much from it, but this thread made me feel better because now I feel like it's gunna take a couple weeks to a month to start noticing things. I thought I'd have some mental changes already but I haven't, I'm really looking forward to them!
Geez, maybe I'm the "old man" around here, at 66. Thankfully, a very physically active life has left me a body about 20 years younger than my chronological age. I started taking phytoestrogens purely on an experimental basis about 19 months ago, worked up to a very heavy amount during the last 6 months as the further in I got in the more I liked what I saw and felt. I'm about 5' 10", 145# and a 36B fits fairly well (ever so slightly smaller on the right). Upper body is lighter than before by a lot, my legs and butt heavier, but I have worked for this shape through selective exercises. If you are healthy enough and mentally committed (boy, could we have fun with that one!), age is not the barrier that people might think. Besides, it's about how your spirit feels. I only work for the physical part because it's sort of a symbolic thing for me that I give to my other side to assure her that she is fully welcomed as a part of my life now.
I love this thread. I'm new here, and as I read all this testimonies, I can't help but to dream about my future (starting hrt in September).
I started 14 months ago at 42. I know I am one of the weird ones here as most of my changes have been in my breast growth. I have had steady growth since week 3 and now I can wear B and C-cup bras depending on brand (my B bras fit best, though. Some brands are simply M or L). I have had all the other changes like skin softness, muscle loss, body odor change and fat redistribution. Luckily I already had a girl's shape so these breasts are usually obvious now on this slim build depending on shirts. I will always be closeted so this is a little scary, I have to admit. Mentally, I was great for the first few months. Now I am mostly back to fighting my old depression, etc., unfortunately. My HRT dose has always been low so my body reacts well. As always, YMMV...
My first reactions where in the first month, itchy breast. Most changes came after being on HRT and post-op life. What is common place is gradual changes over the course of years compared to thinking short term e.g. first weeks or months of starting treatment.
I began HRT at age 58, nine months prior to GRS and breast augmentation.
Nice that you can begin at such a young age.
I should be getting my prescription for Spiro, and Estridol on Monday 7/31t! Have been reading susan's .org for a decade now and done nothing till just this last year coming out to a couple friends. Thinking back to then vs. now I am in disbelief that I'm literally about to start taking hormones that will change my body, rather than just fantasizing about it. Seeing some of the changes that have happened to others and thinking that will soon happen to me gives me butterflies in my stomach that have lasted all week, and problably will all the way thru the appointment and down to the pharmacy to pick up MY GIRL PILLS!!! :) I sure hope at 39 it will give me decent enough breast growth considering i already have some gynomastia, not to mention, muscle loss in my waste, and fat redistribution to the hips and butt. I have broad shoulders and am 6'2 so putting alot of curve and fat on the butt and hips is something i hope works better with doing squats building my glutes then cycling fat intake with ice cream and high fatty foods so it all goes to my ass to add some jiggle and curve. Also,I heard today for the first time that it is likely your hips will rotate while on HRT due to ligament and muscle change there. If the bones of my hips don't go wider, I'm glad knowing they still change some as this is just another way to experience the body's trip into feminization. Crazy thing is, is I plan to stay in the closet and present as a male as long as i can. Will have to learn to the max how to use sports bras, and binders, tape for the nipples. Sorry to go on, i'm just as exited as i've ever been in my life to start HRT like all of you have. It will be quite a journey. I want to be a woman so badly, my heart may jump out of my chest when i start to see my nipples develop and chest jiggle. Glad to join the group, so many of you ARE sexy and developed nicely already and inspire my journey and are a real turn on too. Hopefully I have enough breast development this year I can tease with topless photos too.

Hi Joyce,
Welcome to the site. I know you said you have been reading for a while, but welcome to posting. Is it possible you had an account under a different user name. If so, please let me know in this topic. It is against site policies to have two active accounts. Just let me know and I will remove the other one.
It is an exciting time when you start HRT. Have you started facial hair removal or is that not in your plans? I have had a bit of growth and I started at 51. Sooo. Now just a bit of house work:

I started with spiro on June this year, about a month before I turned 29. Then estradiol a month later (it's been 23 days now since I started).
I noticed some physical changes within the first month, I think, basically my skin got softer. I also lost weight, around 15 pounds. My mind also feels calmer, and I would say my inner conflict is mostly gone (though I can't say if it's the hormones or just the fact that I know I'm finally doing things to live as a woman). Erections are more difficult to get, like before I could just be bored and be like "ok I'm gonna watch porn" and that would be enough to get me going and finish. Now it's like I actually have to be in the mood and concentrate to get hard and finish.
A couple of people have told me they see something different in my face, like it's more delicate, but I attribute that to losing weight, and losing my beard. I don't think hormones can act that fast. And I don't see a difference.
I haven't felt anything else, nothing in my nipples at all. Jealous at the girls who started feeling changes in that area so quickly.
I startet with 35 and are 5 years on hormones now. I didnt recognized any major changes, but i got very, very emotional over the years.
I started HRT in Feb of this year, 2017. While waiting the three months to get my HRT letter I did do some dietary things to reduce T production. I had low T already and slight gynocomastia for a few years. When I started HRT I had full on aching in my breasts. I supposes the gynocomastia had long since already done the budding stage. Now over 5 months in, 2 on full dose I can see a big difference. My wife says I don't pass as a normal guy anymore. I'm somewhere in the mid stage of appearence. I am 5-11 but had a feminine build to me.
What I see: I lost a ton of muscle from my upper body, forearms and legs have shrunk in size. I've seen some thinning of my neck but my job seemed to have kept me moving those trapazoid muscles all spring. My body hair reduced greatly. I still have patches that grow slow on my boobs, :P annoying, but my back hair is all but gone to blond fines. Leg hairs and arm hairs reduced pigment and corseness. I still run a razor over my for arms in the shower. Just enough darker hair I don't want to let grow out. My skin is smooth and soft all over now. Facial wrinkles have reduced and my face plumped up a bit. Really softens the features. On estrogen only my nails became brittle. Bumping them would break out a section. I get why it's such a big deal for girls now. With progesterone they have become a lot more resilient. Just have to keep them filed or a cut edge will ruin them. :( My physical strength and overall endurance significantly reduced. Endurance may be due to long drives for work and not using my treadmill. I gained 15 lbs in the first 6 weeks on P. Gotta watch that apitite! :D

Now it's like I actually have to be in the mood and concentrate to get hard and finish.
I'm post-op 12 yrs, and even with very low T levels, under the normal female range, I can get "erect" (clitoral engorgement) and horny quite fast, and orgasm with just porn if I decide to (i.e. bored). Nothing has changed for me in that respect. I think it's more of a mental thing, less hormonal BUT progesterone tends to actually make me hornier than usual.

Interesting! To be fair, my libido has always been low compared to my male friends, even before hormones. Also, I'm not on progesterone so maybe if my doctor prescribes that it might increase my libido (though I honestly don't care :) thinking about other stuff is a welcome change).
I am also 22 and I just started 9 days ago! Well I started Estrogen 9 days ago and Spiro 8 days ago technically, because when I first went to pick up my prescription they were out of Spiro and ordered it to be ready by the next day. The very first thing I noticed almost immediately, were the mental changes. Even just 9 days in my emotions are so much more powerful and prevalent. I used to be a very angry person, whenever something would happen anger would be the first place my brain would go, but now anger is like a little voice in the back of my head that is much easier to ignore. I find myself responding emotionally to things in a very different way then I ever did before. I also used to not really be able to cry but WOW has that changed, the other day I got upset at work and had to go into the bathroom and have a good sob for a few minutes, then I felt much better. Some of my tastes changed as well... I used to not really enjoy wine but the other night I just had the BIGGEST craving for wine, and it both tasted and smelled way better than I ever remember wine tasting or smelling before. I feel like a cleaner person now... I used to be able to leave the house without brushing my teeth, or sometimes (like most guys do) I would use the restroom and not wash my hands.. now that is long gone because if I forget to was my hands I am acutely aware of it and feel like a gross slob... so I have been being a lot more clean and organized lately. My smell has already changed... previously I would put on deodorant in the morning and within an hour the smell would be gone, overwhelmed by male B.O, but now smells I put on my body stick all day long... lotion, body wash, deodorant, I smell pretty all day long and I sweat less... I've even gotten comments from some of my coworkers that I smell like a girl, which makes me very happy :) The last thing is that even 9 days in my fiance has told me that my skin is already noticeably softer. All in all not bad for 9 days huh? ;D
I start around 17 or 18 year old
I notice the changes with few months The first change I notice happen to my body shape it become more full and feminine in the right places
It was slow process but I was feminine to start with
My country don't allow transition so I had to do it myself therefore I'm the first trans to start hrt in my generation and the generations before me at 17/18 years old ( I'm in my mid 20's now )
My little sister start year later when she was 15 or 14 and she is the first trans who born in the late 90's who start her hrt in younger age
We were the first in our generation or at least in our community that we know of because it's unsafe for trans here and the government laws are against LGBTQ+
unfortunately
That why we hide our identity and there is no resources about trans in general here
I'm 41 years old and just a month into low dose E and Spiro. Within a week my skin felt softer and less oily. Two days ago my nipples started hurting. Breast buds are starting to form. Now mental clarity started i don't know when exactly.

Hi Joyce,
Welcome to the site.

Thank you for the FYI Jacqui. Yes I made one post a while back and never again till now. Sorry about that. It was under Jake77 I think. I'll see if I can find a way to delete ID. Also, I am feeling cautious while posting so I'll keep that in mind. I guess holding all of this in ended up making me vent and express more than I probably would have. No hair removal unless you count shaving arm pits, upper legs and chest hair. Curious to try breast forms with a wig nerdy glasses and dress to preview. Maybe as I'm transitioning, I can still dress up for a night out to a Trans friendly bar for a test drive so to speak?

Hi Joyce,
It seems the account was JM77. I will remove it. You can request to have it removed but cannot do it yourself. I will take care of it.
Warmly,
Jacui
