Title: Where mah gamers at???
Post by: GameDame on April 26, 2017, 09:43:04 PM
Hey all!  New to the boards and to the trans community (and related communities).

Gaming is pretty close to the purpose of my life - I studied video game design in school, have been running D&D/Pathfinder/Call of Cthulhu religiously since my freshman year of high school, and currently run two Pathfinder games and play in one D&D 5E every week.  Games are my lifeblood!

So where are all you gamers??? Post your favorite game (especially tabletops) and we can maybe geek out!

I'm not super into tabletop stuff but I've been messing around with Pathfinder with a group of online friends. I'm more into JRPGs than anything else.

My favorite game series so far is Persona, without a doubt.

I'm pretty into some games. I work as a programmer and 3D asset creator in the video game industry but i mainly work in military simulations and as a result that;s where most of my gaming takes place lol :P

So basically ArmA lol :P

But I'm working on an indie game myself atm and hoping to get into that market as i do absolutely love the indie game scene :)

Toxic:

Very cool.  If you haven't already tried it, the Summoner class is a great way to get a little Persona flavor into your Pathfinder. :P  Also there's a Magical Child archetype for the vigilante class - complete with sparkly transformation sequence and cute magical pet!

Katie:

Awesome!  I'd like to work on my own indie game someday, but I'm nowhere near organized enough. XD But yeah, 3D asset creation was my specialty in school.  Never got an industry job, but the experience got me my job as a dental CADCAM designer. :D

Never been much into tabletops (guess I've never had the chance), but I'm very much into video games :p

My favourites are Gravity Rush, Borderlands 2, and now Breath of the Wild. And Splatoon, can't wait for the new one. Anything Nintendo basically :3

I used to play Runescape way too much but thankfully I've weened myself off it.

Actually, one of our party members is a summoner. Everybody's been making a bunch of JJBA and Persona jokes, much to his annoyance. He's a glass cannon, so my Half-Orc Monk got bodyguard detail. Our DM is taking a lot of inspiration from Bloodborne and Dark Souls so there's a lot of Lovecraftian stuff mixed into the campaign. It's gonna be interesting to say the least.

Have you played Gravity Rush 2? The new powers in that game are so fun to mess around with.

I haven't played the second one yet as I don't have a PS4 to play it on :p But it almost feels worth it just to play that one game considering how much I liked the first one.

Did someone mention gaming?

I'm not much of a tabletop gamer... Mostly do Computer MMOs... My repertoire includes:

-LotRO (more a thing of the past... went down hill after Isengard expansion)
-Guild Wars (2)
-Blade and Soul
-Revelation Online
-Rift
-Archeage
-Devilian
-Aion (thing of the past mostly cause I'm lazy and haven't reinstalled it)

As for gaming systems... Mostly playstation games including:
-Any Batman game
-Marvel Alliance 1 & 2
-Lego Games (almost all of them)
-Zelda games
-Sims 3 (and 4, but 4 is on the comp)
I know there's a few more, but I can't think of what they are right now.

I also like puzzle/word/mystery type games.  Anything to challenge my brain.

Hello Gamers,

I am a "gamer" of all sorts: IRL sports, board games, Magic the Gathering, PC and console games, And D&D.

For organized sports: I've played football, baseball, softball, basketball, 2 on 2 volleyball, MMA, soccer, indoor speed climbing, Sactioned International Racing, wrestling, ultimate Frisbee, paintball, track & field, and power-lifting.

Card Games: Magic (as stated,) Rummy, Gin Rummy, Shanghai Rummy, Speed, Yahtzee, Uno, Spades, Euchre, 5 Card Draw, Texas Hold 'Em, and even Old Maid and Go Fish if there are little kids.

Board Games: Chess, Checkers, Monopoly, (hint: I go for railroads,) Aggravation, Life, Careers, Battleship, and Stratego.

D&D: Mostly 3.5 Edition with a few supporting manuals from 3. I have about 40 different version 3/3.5 supplemental books and booklets. I usually DM and play a PC at the same time. Currently I'm working on writing a new set of core rulebooks that I plan to send in to Wizards of the Coast for possible publication. Based off of 3.5 and compatible with all the supplemental material I don't care if they call it 3.5 Advanced or version 6, or they merely publish them as alternative rulesets. (9 stats instead of 6, expanded skills tree but more skill points per level a cumulative synergy bonus, and skill usage exp, armor class and armor stats different based on body part and so on.)

Video Games: Primarily Racing, FPS, Medieval Fantasy or Steampunk RPGs, Football, RTS, Adventure (Assassins' Creed, God of War, etc.) and Sims. I've been a member of several top 10 clans in Warface, and am casually competitive on several other F2P games. I use a Steelseries Merc Stealth Keyboard, Turtle Beach Earforce headset, a Logitech G502 Mouse, and a custom gaming rig that I update components on annually, (next tax season I get my GTX 1080ti.) My Net connection is 70 megs down and 35 up with an average ping of under 30. My favorite games to play currently are Skyrim (running over 200 mods, mostly graphical,) Wizardry 8, Civilization 5 (with all expansions,) Assetto Corsa, Warface, XCOM 2 and Sims 3 (with all expansions and stuff packs except the Katy Perry one.) I'm starting to work on learning the Unreal Engine so I can make my dream game one day. (All detailed in my head already.)

HUGS!

I know how you feel on that (making character sheets.) I taught my wife and kids how to play. During the school year it's just Me, wife and brother that play, at least once a week, with campaigns that last for months. one that went into epic levels was almost a year. Usually I DM and play a non-party leader NPC (usually a melee class,) wife plays 2 characters, and brother plays one. It gets even more interesting (and time consuming) with expanded rule-sets and more in depth character sheets, I can send you pics of the sheets if you're interested. Once every 3 or 4 campaigns wife and I switch roles. I find the longer deeper story campaigns help with the writers block of hashing out a new story every month or two. I use hexographer for global maps, and hand drawn on graph paper dungeons, (only drawn in as party progresses.) I've used everything from using the Heroes of Horror, Libris Mortis, and Book of Vile Darkness manuals together to humorous campaigns that have included the now locally infamous Spanky's Village (an S&M Haven,) Messenger Gnomes on Mission Impossible strings, old lady fish mongers that throw the fish at peoples faces, and even zombie chicken stampedes. Always cracks people up the first time they see a messenger gnome drop down, deliver the message, tug pn their string, then rapidly salute as they're yanked back into the rafters.

Exchanging ideas could be fun. Feel free to message me. Stay Safe, and May your die always roll a natural 20.  ;)

HUGS!

Good one. I'm also looking forward to playing the new south park since we can finally be female. What's PCMR?

HUGS.

I'm a bit into PC gaming. A difficult schedule and lack of energy have made it hard to do so regularly. I'm a fan of Danganronpa, BioShock, and Borderlands, but enjoy singleplayer FPSes and story-driven games in general.

I'm into first person shooters, although I haven't really played much since Battlefield 4. I did just buy a Nintendo Switch for Zelda, and I still maintain and update my gaming PC regularly. I just got the Battlefront 2 Beta which I'm really enjoying.
