Hello i have one question i started 2 months ago my HRTjourney
Spiro and Estro, i dont know why some got also Avodart, shal i tell to my Endo also she should prescribe me?? Why is he good for and what is your expirience?? I am happy if someone is kind and share info about dutasteride please, Have a nice Spring my sunshines
Dutasteride and the far cheaper and arguably somewhat less effective Finasteride are sometimes prescribed to supplement hrt because they control the conversion of Testosterone into DHT, which is a major factor in male pattern baldness. Often times, limiting testosterone alone isn't enough to inhibit dht conversion or the initiation of hormone replacement can send levels into a tailspin and contribute to haiross. This is a way to inhibit that, and sometimes even promote some new growth if you haven't had too much loss. I started Finasteride a few months before starting HRT and I've seen a decrease in loss and in the last few weeks a sea of little hairs poking though my scalp. If you aren't suffering hair loss and haven't noticed any excessive shedding I probably wouldn't worry about it, but if you're concerned at all ask about Finasteride, I get it for under $5 a month so it won't hurt your wallet if you want to be safe. It's also super low risk.
I recently started on dutasteride for BPH. However it also has the benefits of reduced libido and sometimes breast growth. I haven't been on it long enough to see if it causes that though.
I have had a M hair loss on every side and on my scalp so it would be good for it, do we have to take it life long?? or stop when GRS is made like with aldoctone?

It takes a few months to become effective, it's hard to say how long you will need to take it for. It could just be while hormones are in flux, but might need to be longer. Once grs is done you probably wouldn't need it anymore.
Thank you very very much 1000 hugs to all of you who share and help with info
Some find that upon stopping dutasteride/finasteride, even post-op, there can be a rebound effect and some hair loss so it might be needed for life, once started. Also, post-op, despite T levels dropping by 95% in the blood, DHT levels only drop by 50-60% in tissues such as the prostate and for those sensitive to DHT, this may be a problem.
Dutasteride/finasteride can trigger depression/anxiety in a few people, too. It seems quite rare though.
I stopped using dutasteride two months ago, after using it for three years. I used it "officially" for BPH, and "unofficially" for femininization, along with estrogen. I have had no "rebound effect" regarding hair loss.
I began using spiro about two years ago, which has been very effective in reducing testosterone levels. The BPH issue has long since been resolved.
I stopped using the dutasteride because it was redundant, given the good results with spiro. The only impact of stopping its use has been that it seemed to make my nails brittle, and that has gone away as I've stopped its use.
Just one person's experience. Hope this helps.
What about MUSCLEE MASS , the combo with spiro is more effective in feminization like only with one ????
