Title: Thirty one years sober
Post by: Devlyn on May 04, 2017, 02:14:47 PM
I quit drinking on this day in 1986. Alcohol had taken the abilty to control my life away from me. I took it back.  :)

Hugs, Devlyn

Dayum!! Devlyn congrats!

You must have started drinking as an toddler and stopped as a teen. It's great you realized it was a problem at a young age and took care of it.  All it take is one day at a time.

I've only got 18 under my belt.

  Hugs,
    Laurie

Congratulations ^^ that's something really good! I may be young, but i also definitely already made some mistakes in the use of alcohol. Luckily a friend of mine got me out of there before it was too late.

Thanks! I was 12 the first time I drank, I quit at 24 after blowing a .27 on the breathalyzer at Fort Bliss.

Good for you Devlyn It took me a few more years of research to figure out I had a problem. I was 47 when I finally got my DUII

( The cooler in the back seat always stocked with beer should have been a clue)
