Title: Work
Post by: alannah on May 06, 2017, 01:51:08 PM
I am beginning to think I have done something wrong.

For a while now (a few year) I have been trying to find a job. Male me has a job, of course, but I cannot rely on that. So I have applied for jobs otherwise. I am just not sure of the legal position, because, delight of delights, I have started getting job offers.

This is all getting so complicated and I cannot help but think I am doing everything in the wrong order,

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Alannah

If your job is not reliable then finding reliable steady work id very important. If you are going to fully transition then make sure the new job has LGBT policies that will protect you. Transitioning is expensive and having a good reliable job is important.

Consider this.  Do you need your current work history for the future? If you leave before you change your name you might create issues with employment verification that might come back to haunt you later in your transition. Just a thought.
