Congrats!! I went for my initial visit today and will start next Friday so I'm expecting a perma grin next week. I'm nervous about the injections (giving them to myself). Any advice out there? :-\

Do subcutaneous injections in your stomach and have a nurse show you how the first time.

I don't have a ton of tips. I had intramuscular and it didn't hurt anywhere near as bad as I had been led to believe. The nurse had me pinch the inner fatty portion of my thigh, and inject into it. It isn't like you are injecting into the hard muscle on the outside of the thigh, which is what I thought it would be. Also she had me do a practice injection on my other thigh with saline. If I had it to do over again I'd have just done the one injection with T. Also if your clinic does it like mine, you will draw up the shot with a large gage needle and switch to a smaller one for the injection. I had trouble injecting the thick solution into myself. I kept exerting to much force on the syringe, rather than the plunger. My advice on this is do everything you can to keep the force on the plunger, and take it slow. The T is in a thick oil and the small needle just can't push it out that fast. Oh and one last thing, when I was drawing up the T I pushed the needle way to far in to the tiny vile and got a bunch of air, there isn't a lot in the bottle so make sure you don't stick the needle all the way in.
As for everyone else, thank you so much with the Congrats! I still can't believe this is all happening. I feel like I am in some sort of awesome dream.
