Title: she sleeps
Post by: Christo on November 23, 2007, 04:55:38 AM
to tink :) :) :)

She sleeps,

and the radio plays-

tucked tightly in my arms

I smoke, and contemplate.

I'm supposed to protect her

from roaring thunder

and the neighbor's dogs barking.

I'm supposed to be her knight

shining in a suit of armor

decorated in silver and gold.

hand gripped around my lance

sitting high,

my shield screaming.

She sleeps,

and the radio plays-

tucked tightly in my arms

I lower my burning cigarette

rotating my wrist,

stabbing at the lurking ashtray.

<3 :) :) :)
