Just an update on my 1st month of HRT. I've been keeping a log of selfies, doctor's appointments, changes, and anything else related so I can track my progress. I'm on a low dose of Estradiol. I've just returned from my one month follow up and the doctor gave me my levels. My testosterone is at 41 on the 300 to 1,200 ng/dL range which means I don't need blockers and my estrogen is at 126 on the 18-361 scale. She says my hormones are steady thus there are no fluctuations, which cause PMS type symptoms or moodiness, and that my hormones are in the normal range of a Post-menopausal woman with my next follow up in in three months.
Here is my list of changes:
Day 4 - Noticeable decrease in body odor - I was out walking, came back drenched in sweat and I could still smell the deodorant from the day before.
Day 5 - I noticed my attitude at work had changed to more enthused and amiable than before.
Day 7 - I felt much more calm. Dysphoria was not gone but I felt better emotionally and a mental clarity that I hadn't felt in a long time.
Day 8 - As I shaved I the blade felt different against my skin. My face was a bit smoother.
Day 13 - My wife noticed that upper thighs and butt were gaining some definition. She measured me for a bra and I'm now a 44D. I was a 44C.
Day 14 - My butt does seem to be shapelier and it looks like I'm getting some more fat in my hip area though there's been fat there because of my weight.
Day 15 - Lots of itchy breasts the past few days.
Day 22 - All my skin below my waist is very smooth and the rest of my skin is getting softer as is my face. My penis might be shrinking or relocating as it sometimes feels like it's out of place as opposed to where it usually sits.
Day 27 - In the shower I felt the weight of my breasts. They are heavier and feel differently than they did when they were just moobs.
As a side note, it's important to note that I'm coming from a situation where my body naturally produces lots of Estrogen while producing little Testosterone because of my XXY genes. Being Intersex appears to have helped my body more easily acclimate itself to Estrogen. Now it's just a thing of seeing how my body and mind change as I go into this process for a longer period of time. Overall, I'm feeling great and can't wait to see what the future holds.
Hugs,
Balerie

I wish my genes were that good to me, but good to hear youre seeing results and quickly!
Hi Balerie,
Isn't it fun experiencing all these little changes? Sometimes it seems there is something new every day doesn't it?
"Enjoy the ride" is appropriate with everything that happens as we change both physically and mentally and with each change we have the opportunity to grow in how we relate to others and our surroundings.
Keep on with enjoying the ride.
Hugs,
Laurie
Good for you! I'm glad to see you're appreciating the emotional and mental changes as well, since we can often focus on the physical. It's fascinating to hear of so much change in what seems like such a short time. We may soon need a photo gallery to fully appreciate you :D
