I'm not good at introductions, but I'll try my best.
Hello, my name is Cassandra, but you can call me Cassie if you prefer.
It's hard to say when I started my transition, I've been out for a few years, but only was just approved for HRT recently, as I've been on a long waiting list. I live in a small town in a rural part of Canada, where there are only a handful of other LGBT people, and only one of them trans, so it's hard to find like-minded people that share the same experiences. I'm a really shy, introverted kind of person, too, which doesn't help.
I've always found my way here when I've been looking for information or advice, so I decided that I might as well join up and actually post a bit, get involved in discussion, and maybe it'll help me to not feel so alone in this.
Hi Cassandra
If you're looking for information and advice then you've come to the right place. Lots of friendly folk here willing to share their advice and experiences. So welcome and have fun.
Peace and love and all that good stuff,
Sadie

I can see that already. I'm going to like it here.
I'm not actually that far north, I'm in rural Ontario.
Welcome to Susan's Place. Believe it or not, shy is something we can fix. There is something about becoming comfortable with yourself that loosens one up socially. How do I know? It's because once I was pretty shy and introverted. Now they can't shut me up and it two years I have made over 10,000 posts. Off the web, I get along with people far better than I did before my transition. Take your time and soon you may discover you are more comfortable around people.
