Title: My friend called me out on trans
Post by: Harley Quinn on May 21, 2017, 08:58:02 AM
Not a bad posting...  She's a very dear friend.  We had known each other for quite a few years.  She helped me out with drag a few times when I was younger... Makeup, Clothing, and even bathroom bouncer.  She's actually quite amazing.  She was a drag king once upon a time.  We somehow got on the topic of the good old days, and she informed me that she had figured me out nearly 15 years ago...  She informed me that I did a pretty ->-bleeped-<- job at keeping it underwraps...  And went on to inform me that 2 things got me called out before I had even figured it out myself.  1. You can't drink that much without having it being caused by something very deeply rooted, and 2. WAY too much attention to detail when I was doing drag.  Not "fabulous" enough,  more of a "blending in" effect.  It was quite the Oh Jeeze... moment for me.  We had a good laugh at that one.

I somewhat wish she'd have called me out on that one a long time ago and saved me 15 years of struggle.  However, like everything else, timing is everything.  Had I not been ready to hear it, it may have been longer before I figured it out for myself.

Similarly, a woman who was helping me cross dress, about 25 years ago, asked me if I ever had considered surgery.  My reply was that I had many times, but considered it a bit extreme, so cross dressing was as far as I went.  She never raised the question again though.
