Title: Time for GRS
Post by: kathb31 on May 27, 2017, 12:55:40 PM
I'm looking for a good place to have GRS done and willing to
go anywhere in the US. I was thinking of Kathy Rumer in PA but
did see where there were some pretty negative reviews about
her especially about post surgery care. Any recommendations or
experiences?

Thanks
Kath
Title: San Francisco ...
Post by: Annecy on May 27, 2017, 01:12:26 PM
I (just/finally) had my GCS/SRS ...
@ the beginning of March (2017) ...
here ... in San Francisco (SF) ...

Being a resident of SF accords quite a few benefits ...
as far as having GCS/SRS ... here ...
not the least of which being
that my ("free") SF Health Insurance fully covered my GCS/SRS ...

Furthermore, I could not have had (from my perspective) a better surgeon ...

btw: My ("free") SF Health Insurance will also fully cover
my (in the works) FacialFeminizationSurgery ...
;D

I am also fortunate as my insurance will cover 90% of my srs
I had my ffs done in seattle in april and I am still waiting to  see
if they are going to provide any coverage for that.

If you are going to use insurance why not start with that and see what surgeons are covered?

After that prioritize what you care about, like travel, risk, quality of result, length of wait list.

AnonyMs
Thank you for the advice

I know wait list and quality are important to me

I went to Dr. McGinn in New Hope and think she is awesome.
