I love many unmentionables, I in my male body am always afraid I look like I am scoping out women - really I am trying to see how they wear things and especially if I can tell what their unmentionables are! I love seeing panty lines on running tights, or smooth bodycon dresses or even smooth fabric of A-line skirts or dresses. I am particular to seeing how things go together, and what shows through and what does not. I am so in need of wearing my own clothes out! But that is a far away time from now. My collection grows but I cannot afford any really expensive items, second hand stores are my fare mostly now. I used to look at the Sears and JC Penney catalogues in the girdle, and bra section, okay so look is a bit off the truth I used to spend hours looking at them! I just had to see how a woman really wears their unmentionables...Why don't you mention your favorite unmentionable or mentionables here!

I just wear it all like any other girl on the street. I get whats comfortable, and what I feel like wearing that day, and head out. I doubt many other girls look at strangers to see how they wear theirs. It all depends on your personal taste and style. Wear what you like, and don't worry about other girls' styles.
I no longer find underwear exciting. It's more important that it is comfortable and functional.
Pre-transition, my interest in women's underwear was a redirection of my frustrated wish to present myself as female. Now that wish is fulfilled, it's just underwear. 'Course I do prefer pink. :)

I think you may be partially correct! But not being able to wear it out right ow it is also a jealousy thing! I think...

I just spent over $50.00 on 6 pair of very nice cotton underwear. They have comfortable cotton around my leg openings if you get my drift. I had purchased cheap synthetic panties for GCS which were a big no no. My panties were away bikini but now do not have a front opening. Cotton is best !
I wear a sports bra and after my BA I will get fitted again and they will have bras in my size, Yay. I am a 40 A now and will be a C. I am losing weigh and am no 203 pounds (lost 17 pounds) and will get to 175. Perhaps I will be a 38 band. I am 39 inches now under the boobs.
I've got a decent collection of sexy panties (mostly thongs), but now I'm finding, like the others, that comfort is more important to me. I'm still presenting as male in public, but I always wear wear panties anyway (cotton briefs) so I can feel at least a little feminine. Since I generally wear baggy clothes, I'll occasionally wear a cami under my shirt, too. Might break out the thongs again someday if/when I get a guy into the bedroom. >:-)
I've also been keeping an eye on what the women I see at work & such are wearing. So far no one's called me out for being a perv or anything.
Eh, as long as it's comfortable, that's all I care about. I didn't have much interest in it before, though I have to say men's underwear is much more comfortable in my opinion, if obviously rather boring to view.
Comfortability is everything unless you are getting sexy for yourself or a special partner, which in that case they won't be on long anyway. ;D
At this point I am presenting female about eighty percent of the time, so I need underwear that works under my clothes. For ordinary daywear I wear a stretch cotton bralette from Forever 21 but for those times when I need to say "Hey, I'm a girl! I wear a Body by Victoria push up bra from Victoria's Secret size 38B. They are expensive but worth it and I have them in several colors for those "peeks of lace" from inside the neckline. For panties they need to be tight enough to hold a tuck and a bit wide in the crotch. They also need a little room in the back for my new "junk in the trunk." I wear only Victoria's Secret, usually a hipster of some kind.
Beige or dark plain fabric. Bottoms mainly seamless or flatlocked. Seamless tops when called for.
Comfort is always key, but it also depends on what I'm wearing for the day... any denim jean or skirt I usually aim for a bikini style or hipster style garment - I can get away with wearing these with some of my summer dresses. If im wearing something a little more hugging like a body con style skirt, dress, leggings/ jeggings I usually wear a tanga style undergarment to hide any panty line other styles may show.
Since vaginoplasty I've been limited to wearing the mesh panties from the hospital and full briefs which I'm really not too fond of.
Now that the amount of discharge has come down to a manageable level I'm finally able to wear my pretty briefs. Soon I should be able to wear the thongs that never really worked with my old hardware. I really can't wait! :-)

thanks for the straight truth...I know but having set myself so far behind the urve at my age, I just want to be "normal" in the eyes of others too.. I get it though thanks!

I bet you cannot wait and I cannot wait to be where you are! Love and Hugs Marcie
But but... they're unmentionable! :D
Personally, I've never been too fond of men's underwear. Boxers have way too much open space and are tight around my thighs, briefs are too thick which doesn't allow the material to "breathe" causing chafing and "swamp crotch", and boxer briefs are the worst possible combination of both! I'd rather go "comando" than wear men's underwear.
On the other hand, I am fond of both the regular and low rise bikini styles. The material is thinner which allows for the material to breathe, thereby solving the problems previously mentioned, including the thigh constriction due to not extending beyond the crotch area. As previously stated, it's about comfort.
edit: I forgot to mention, they are also great for those who are not out yet and still present as male since the low rise, as the name suggests, do not rise above the pants waist line.

I hate to disappoint you, but I too am 39 inches measured under the breasts. I can wear a size 40 or 42 depending on the manufacturer and style of bra.
Usual recommendation is to add 3 to 5 inches to the underbust measurement to get the band size. If you are still losing weight, then you might just get into a size 38, but your underbust measurement should be around no more than 34 to 35.
