Title: Just a suggestion for website devs
Post by: ErosNightleaf on June 06, 2017, 09:00:54 PM
So I'm not sure if the verification where you have to answer the questions goes away after you post enough times (in which case this post is unnecessary) but couldn't it be set so that a quick way to post would just be to press alt + S without having to answer the questions or verify? Because the bot system as far as I know wouldn't even know to press alt + S

Read the log in screen better next time. There should be something to select how long to keep signed in and maybe a check box. Take care of those and you should be okay.

The verification question will go away soon enough. We have a serious spam issue on the site and unfortunately if an easy way around the security was made, it would soon be included in the bots. In addition, most of the web software is from Simple Machines and while there is some home brew in it, the software can't be modified without upgrade issues.

Could be. It wouldn't be the first time I misunderstood something.

Thank you! That makes sense. It's annoying, but it's better than having a million spam bots on the side. Those are so much worse.
