Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for quite some time. I am 20 years old and my name at the moment is chris, but i think my new name would be Veronica. I believe I'm MTF trans and I'm just having some depression and anxiety lately. So I came out as gay in 2015, and after that I started wearing a lot of makeup and this year I've been dressing in all women's clothes for the most part. My parents are great, but sometimes when I put pictures on Facebook that I look like a full woman in, they get upset and ask me to take it down. My dad texted me last night and said "I accepted you as gay and love you more than life, but anything else (hinting at transitioning) I'm gonna need some more time with." My mom also told me she loves me and will always be here for me. I don't think I'm 100% ready to transition yet, even though I'd love to. I would like to move out before I start anything. My only drawbacks are my height (6"4). I hate being this tall, but I think positive and look at my more female characteristics, like my voice. My voice is very high and I'm always called mam on the phone and a lot in person when I have makeup on, I also have a feminine face. Thank you for taking the time to read. If anyone has any kind words or suggestions for me please leave them! Xo

Welcome to Susan's Place. Height isn't that much of an issue. I am 6'2" and it hasn't presented any problems. If anything it might be one of the reasons people are normally careful what they say to me.  ;D I am not the tallest one on the site and all of us are looking for good place to buy the clothing that we need.

Today I went to Costco and while I was waiting to buy some lunch, I noticed a woman in back of me who I could see eye to eye with. Yes she was CIS and she isn't the only one I have seen. Just embrace your height and be proud of it. Many CIS woman would gladly trade their short stature for what you have.

Hi Chris

I'm Laurie your self appointed unofficial greeter. (( Hugs)) Welcome to Susan's Place. You official greeters have already welcomed you and provide the useful links. (Like the one that tells you when you can post an avatar picture or do PMs) Yup they're all in those links. ((Hug)) Oh sorry I did that already oooops. Come on in, grab something to drink and have a seat. (preferably in that order) So you think you're trans and got a minor acceptance problem with your very supportable Dad. Well it looks to me that you are ahead on the game in just having such thoughtful parents. I would take your Dad's needing a bit more time at face value. He has already accepted that you are gay and when he has time to think on it you being trans is but a variation on that theme. Heck he could even look at as though by transitioning you will no longer be gay but  "normal" whatever that is. Maybe looking at it like that will help him a little. The one thing you know for sure is that your parents love you.

Well Chris, I've spent my 2 cents so I'll just say I'm glad you are here and hope you'll stick around awhile.

Hugs,
   Laurie
