Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum, so I hope my question's at the right place here. If I've done it
wrong, sorry for that... but I'm really going a bit crazy on something I discovered
lately:
So I'm mtf and I'm on hrt since October 2016, although I've stopped taking
hormones for one and a half months earlier this year but am taking them again since
april... So apart from having had hair loss (I guess bc my body struggled regaining
hormonal balance), hrt seemed to work. I've got breast growth, my skin is becoming
softer, my face starts to look more female... But as I started taking hormones again,
I also started having unwanted ejaculations at night, like, one to two times a month.
I had the feeling that, every time this happened, I looked a bit more male after that
for a few days, and my breasts shrinked slightly and felt kind of 'tougher'.
I'm just really worried as this doesn't seem to go away even with my body on estradiol
and Cypro ... I've got an appointment with my doctor in a few weeks,
but I'm just really really afraid these unwanted ejaculations inhibit hrt or something
like that. Does anyone know that? Should I worry? ???
Thank you!! :)

Welcome to Susan's Place. Balancing out hormones takes time so what you are experiencing could be the result of your body adjusting or it could be unrelated to HRT. I assume you are entering into summer and if so, some hair loss happens as the days warm up. If you are growing your hair out, longer hair becomes more visible when you normally lose it. It's possible at your next visit after your blood work, your dosages will be adjusted to find the correct dosage for your body chemistry. In my case, my dosage is set at halve the transition dosage. I have seen others receive dosages above the normal transition dosage. Wait until your doctor visit and then request your testosterone, total estrogen and estradiol numbers. That will tell you chemically where you are.

Toward the beginning of my HRT, I also experienced some Nocturnal Emissions (wet dreams). I think it's perfectly natural response to the hormonal shift happening in your body, probably more specifically, to your prostate.
I also noticed a discharge after urination, that resembled semen, for a couple of months in the beginning as well. It would continue to drip for a while afterward, which got annoying fast. It freaked me out as I was worried I had an STD, but tests came back negative.
Just as a reference, my Testosterone levels were above the male high range when I started, so I'll speculate that might have had something to do with it.
I honestly don't remember it affecting my femininization though. Your Testosterone levels could be spiking as your body might be trying to compensate for the hormonal imbalance. I think you'll notice it subside as you get your medication dialed in.
Try to be patient and let us know how it goes. :)
Q. Has ejaculation an effect on hrt?
A. No, but HRT definitely has an effect on ejaculation.
Wet dreams are common if you have stopped masturbating as well which is common with the loss of libido in HRT.
Basically at the early stages there is still production and if it isnt relieved it will eventually do it itself while you sleep. As you go further along the production will be stopped so the nightly emissions should at least get dryer
It also might not stop, women have orgasms in their sleep too
Yes, definitely affects ejaculation. At one point during HRT your testicles and prostate won't be able to perform as designed.
