Howdy!
So I've had multiple IPL treatments for my face and neck, spaced a month or so apart, since September. I'm now looking to start electrolysis as a replacement, and have contacted a few in my area. I've read that it's good to schedule multiple consults to get a feel for the practitioner, as well as their style, etc. I've scheduled two, and a third called me back today after playing a bit of phone tag. I let her know that I have a consult with someone on Monday, and asked if it would make sense to wait about a week after that. She replied by suggesting I call her after my consult to let her know how it went.
Then she says that she is very busy, and it wouldn't make sense to set up an appt with me if I end up going with someone else. I'm sorry, too busy for 30-60 minutes? I could have kept the info from her and it wouldn't have mattered, but I wanted to be up front. But as the practitioner, I find it highly unprofessional to assume that her way is the best way, and she would be too busy to have someone decide against that. I'm a massage therapist, and I know that some will love my style, while others will hate it. No one is a one-shoe-fits-all, regardless of the size of their ego.
I will absolutely not be calling her back, even if it means I have to find someone else an hour away.
Thoughts?
My electrologist is busy and has excellent credentials. She is usually booked solid for the next month, I have a recurring spot on her calendar. She welcomes potential clients in for an initial evaluation, no obligation, takes about 15 minutes (no more than 30) and she does not charge for that.
My results and time involved match what she told me during initial consultation two years ago. If you have to drive additional distance to reach a good one with a good attitude, it's worth it.
Electrolysis is really painful. I tried it on my face first and then went with Laser over 10 years ago. I have maybe one stray hair show up once a month. It worked perfectly.
I'm scheduled for GCS in early August and I'm now getting cleared below. The Laser available today is Star Wars technology compared to what it was when I had my face done. She cleared me in 25 minutes. The new machine has suction and pulls the skin up tight before the Laser zaps it. It works in about 1/2 inch areas each time.
I almost cried when she said she was done it went so fast. I am paying a small fortune for this state of the art technology but it is sooooo worth it in my opinion. . . .
