QuoteA 2016 provincial decision made a dent in the astronomical wait list, but hundreds of patients are still waiting for a call.

CAMH does seem to have its problems.  Fortunately they aren't the trans-haters they use to be, unfortunately they still can't quite get their act together.

Great news that  Women's College Hospital will start doing GCS in 2018.  You have to love the fact the Ontario government chose Women's College with it's strong emphasis on women's health.

Having only one clinic in the whole of Canada was pretty ridiculous.  I wonder how good the team will be compared to other clinics around the world that have been doing it for years.  I imagine they'll still be quite the lineup.

Thanks for posting this.

Since it's only been recently that other practitioners have been able to do this, I expect we'll soon more and that will reduce the backlog.

About 25 years ago, when I first gave serious thought to GCS surgery, the process was a lot more difficult and required a psychiatrist to sign off.  Back then, CAMH was known as the Clarke Institute.  Of course, going way back, it was the Lunatic Asylum and 999 Queen St. W. was an address you didn't want to live at.  ;)
