Hiii!!
So, I am gonna have SRS on 1st September and I'm super excited and nervous, and have lots of questions. Sorry if any seem really dumb.
First of all, how long do you need to dilatate? It seems overwhelming to dilatate everyday and I'll follow it through if needed, because will it become too loose? I don't want mine loose and men like it tight. Lol.
The surgeon also says after a month or a month and a half, I'll probably be ready for sex. But is that realistic? It will still be quite painful/uncomfortable, no? How long did take for you?
Third, can you have BA and SRS done together? I honestly would rather have to suffer it all at once, than phase it all. But that's my personality.
You need to dilate forever however after about a year you only need it once a week. After about 20 years I was able to go 10 years without dilation however it was a bit sore for the first coupe of months when I started dilating again. Sex can be substituted for dilation so if you have an active sex life, after about a year you can use sex exclusively if your partner is big enough. Don't worry about becoming to loose, that will not be a problem and you have more to fear from becoming to small. You will understand what I mean when you see the largest dilator in the dilator set. Normally it's about an inch and a half in diameter and when you start dilating, you will wonder if it will ever fit.
If you heal correctly, sex should be fine after 3 months. If there are healing issues, it could stretch from 6 months to a year. It's best to have an internal examination before having sex to verify everything is correctly healed. Proud flesh or granulation is the show stopper and if you have problems with it, you shouldn't have sex until it's under control.
Even when I had my surgery, I had the option of combining GCS and a BA. I suspected I had additional growth potential and I wasn't uncomfortable about having small breast so I only had GCS.
congratulations it will come fast
Yay, congratulations!
Mine said 2 months but that depends on how you are healing I think. You should be able to get BA and SRS together but recovery will be tougher. There was one woman here who had FFS + BA + SRS at the same time. 3 surgeons worked on her and she was happy with it I think.
I have absolultey no good advice as i am about a year away from surgery myself but.... I am so happy for you <3
I am just shy of two years post-op. I am down to dilating once a month-ish. I asked my Dr. How often I should dilate after a year and his answer was "your body will let you know". Which is so true for me!!! Month and a half seems super soon for me for sex afterwards. Your body can probably physically do it, but it took me four to six months to get mentally in that space
Good luck with your surgery!!
