Title: Work, HRT & Breast Forms.
Post by: Tammy Jade on June 28, 2017, 04:16:09 PM
So all going well I will be starting E in a couple of weeks, My boss and I are planning on timing my coming out to around the same period.

My question is this, obviously I won't have any development when I come out and I'm now torn wether or not to use Breast Forms initially.

I am currently just leaning towards not using them at all and just wearing a sports bra until I can fill out a normal bra.

What have other people done and what were your experiences?

Planning on coming out end of October and not on HRT yet, if I do as planed then only 3 months worth so will  use breast forms as it makes me feel right.

I haven't started HRT yet but I would imagine those breast forms are going to hurt after a few weeks of HRT.

Not necessarily. Some forms have concave bases accommodating some of the growth

Answering initial question... I don't know... But small natural breast mounds look more authentic than D-cups sprouted overnight.

Initially I couldn't imagine to go out without forms, but when I got a bit of chest development (still AA at most) I started to like to go without forms, especially in certain tops (some were better showing them than others).

Well that's good to know. Thanks.

If you plan to use silicone breast forms be careful. When I was first transitioning mine fell out while I was in Walmart. Very embarrassing!

I am planning my work transition for November.  I've been on hormones since March.  If by some miracle I'm able to fill an a cup by then, I will go with no forms.  However, if things haven't advanced that far yet, I do plan to wear modest forms.  Honestly part of the acceptance of others comes from looking as authentic as you can.  Each "tell" that something is off, makes it harder for people to see you as who  you really are.  Or at least that's my belief.

LOL well actually I had meant to mention that.  To avoid the issues of them becoming "displaced" I actually wear them inside a post-mastectomy bra.  The pockets keep them snugly in place while still allowing them to bounce and look natural.  I haven't tried it yet but I suppose I could also use adhesive to keep them attached to my chest and a bra just for support.

"Displaced". 😂 I love that! Lol. Mine didn't become displaced. The hit the floor with a slap. A couple of guys saw it and started laughing so I just bolted out of the store. My dad was with me and when he came to the car he handed me my breast forms. He was laughing so hard he was crying. After that I never used silicone forms again!

I wear forms at work,  enough to fill my 40B full-cup bra,  which I think gives me a fairly balanced silhouette for my height/weight. As HRT does it's thing,  at some point I'll probably drop down to a 40A and go without forms,  hoping that I'll then grow back into a 40B,  or maybe more...

I came out in January, 4 months before starting HRT.  My intention was and still is to share my transition with family and friends as I go, so I came out as "starting my transition."  Part of this is for people to get to know the new me, while also knowing that I'm still the same me in other ways.  Another part of this is I just can't afford to go full time, and have been adding clothing/makeup/etc as I go.

As a guy, I always gained muscle super easily in my chest, and now that I've been inactive for several months, the muscle has shrunk and fat has stayed.  I just bought a 36AA bra, which the girl told me is an irregular size haha!  I said I'm still in between and she goes "oh, I feel you honey."  I had thought about using a breast form, but even when I tried inserts in a B cup bra, it just felt hammy and obvious.

That said, I can't stop feeling my chest, so I reeeeally need to be careful in public

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

Lucky I haven't had to much trouble with my current ones at the moment (but then I'm got some really good bras that hold them well) but I'm not crawling around in people's roofs when I'm at home or out with friends.

I feel like breasts are a big "tell" and would help other staff a lot in the beginning.

But at the same time I'm pretty confident without them (it's not make or break for me because they still feel fake to me) and I really don't want to lose one in a customers ceiling or have it fall several stories down a cable well.

I keep coming back to the is the inconvenience at work to make sure they don't fall out worth it or do I just ride it out until my real ones develop.

Well at least I still have a few weeks to make up my mind.

I used them before I started HRT, but just A cups (balloons filled with bird seed). At the time I felt that was big enough and I was happy with them.

Now I fill a C cup and all the money I invested in bras? Down the drain. I only own 3 bras that even fit me now.
