Starting on Estradiol Valerate tablets.
Um, I intend to take a photo every day and compare and also write a diary every day to see how I feel.
Changes so far...
Zero but uh yeah its been about four hours.
Wish me luck ladies :)

Best of luck, MissKairi! Still remember that day like it was yesterday. Soon you'll feel the mighty power of girl's juice and one day you'll wake up thinking "MissKairi, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore!"
Big hugs, Sarah

Congratulations and good luck!
The first thing you'll notice is your skin becoming a bit softer and your smile a bit wider. Then as the dosage is increased breast buds form and you'll begin to pay attention to anything that might bump them, and you will be intensely aware if they get bumped. I call that painful magic.
Enjoy,
Julie
What a great day in the neighborhood for you, Kairi. I remember my first HRT meds. it's signified the start of a new life.
You may want to remove the dosage info though before a moderator does it for you.
Congratulations girl.
Hugs,
Laurie
Congratulations Kairi! The start of a new and very exciting chapter in your life
Looking forward to your updates

AWESOME!!!! Congratz!
This is exactly how I'm going to react to my first t injection so I feel your excitement! Happy trails! :icon_female:
cool congratulations and good luck
Congratulations on taking the next step.
Congratulations.
Woo hoo so exciting!
+1. So happy for you Kairi!
Congrats Kairi!!!!! Can't wait until I start (10 days & counting!!!).
Fantastic! I still remember the first day I got my mones and I was so excited and couldn't fall asleep for the night! ;D
Awesome!
I didn't notice anything in the first 24 hours ( apart from a very sore butt), but after 31 hours I did notice that my skin tasted more alkaline , and my hands were less dry than before.
It's now 5 days and I did discover a lot of fluff around my side burn areas. Not sure if that was there before since I didn't spend much time looking at my face until now. I decided to shave it off to give myself a baseline to measure against any new growth.
I also noticed a thin dark streak of hairs along the top of my eyebrows. I have fair, almost ruddy skin, and not much in the eyebrow department, so this did catch my attention.
You too might discover a few subtle things in the next week or so, or maybe not. It will take time, but that's the fun part: the anticipation.
Happy Rebirth!

Thanks Dan :).
Actually thank you all :)
So far I feel no different...at all.
But got to give it time.
I felt a minor euphoria for like the first week that I started. It was probably psychosomatic but I still enjoyed it. I am approaching my 2-year mark on HRT and I can say that the changes have been amazing but physical changes have been minor which has left me confused. Like you I began HRT with pills.
The changes I have experienced so far are the following: lessening of body hair, softer skin, a little fat redistribution. I would say my breasts got to an a cup. Unfortunately one breast was more Fuller than the other. Both of them are still very cone shaped and have no roundness to them. After a year-and-a-half these results frustrated me because I expected just a little bit different.
I switched injections about 2 months ago. Now I'm probably a small b cup. Still cone shaped but I noticed that I'm starting to equalize and I hope to get a little Fuller. I noticed a definite difference between pills and injections. I have also begin to lose weight instead of gaining it.
I wish you a ton of luck and hope that your changes swiftly and abundantly.
Congratulations, this is indeed a big step. For me within the first week or so I noticed a change in the odor of my sweat (it all but disappeared). I also noticed I got a little more moody. Beyond that I didn't notice much for the first 2.5 months. However, my therapist assured me at each bi-weekly session that she could see subtle differences in my face. At 2.5 months it was like someone flipped a switch, my nipples got sore, my skin got much softer and I started to notice some gradual changes in my face.
I'd say taking a picture everyday is probably overkill, even weekly might be discouraging because the differences from week to week are pretty hard to detect. However, monthly is what I've been doing and has been good so far. I can see definitive changes in each subsequent month.
Good luck girl and keep us up to date on how things go.
First thing to note.
Likely a placebo not the pills but...
That annoying, nagging, sometimes screaming background voice that insisted things were wrong...has gone.
Just plain gone.
In my head all I hear is silence.
It's a little weird if i am honest :)
Hannah.Emma - I'm happy the injections work better for you :)
I shake so hard at needles I think that's out of the question for me :)
Alyssa - goodness me I hope so with the sweat haha it's so warm here its been acrid.
I wonder about the photos, I'm thinking it might make a nice YouTube slideshow or something.
But I will keep in mind what you have said :)
Congratulations Kairi! Looking forward to my first day soon, as well, and would like to do this, too.
Will be checking in to see how you're doing. Happy for you!

Who cares why it worked :D, but isn't it such a nice surprise, it's great that you have had such a great positive result...For me there was also a certain amount of relief from knowing the HRT would help.
Hi,
Congratulations.
I'll start somewhere next week and my set-up for picture-everday is ready. :p
I'll follow how you are doing carefully ;D
Cheers,
loes

....
I felt the same in the first few days. A calmness descended, and it's still there but it's now becoming part of that new normal. I'm a bit surprised by that feeling myself. Is it placebo effect? Maybe. Doesn't matter, everything suddenly feels so much better. I reckon that hormones do have a lot to do with it.
Enjoy the serenity and all the new discoveries that still await us.
Lets think strong positive thoughts about our bodies responding quickly to the 'mones. They can. They will. They are!
Well first things first. I'll update this once a week on Mondays.
So its Monday :)
It's been 80 hours since I started. The initial euphoria of being 'fixed' has dissipated and I am back to my normal (previous) self pre-E.
Guess that's the placebo effect over and done with.
I don't feel any different and all the previous effects of manhood are still here and in effect.
I keep telling myself its been 80 hours, I've watched tv series longer than that.
It's not an on/off switch I know.
Have to keep going.
Peace all :)
