Title: Does a surgery to change an Asian face RADICALLY to a Caucasian face exist?
Post by: Evolving Beauty on July 08, 2017, 10:31:08 AM
I look a bit asian (like Thai people) but I want to look COMPLETELY Caucasian. I obviously can't be like the blond Norwegian barbies however I wanna get something close like the latinas, Meditarenean, Italians or Southern Spain people. (Quite caramel skin but with caucasian features). Does this type of surgery even exist? I mean someone who can combine FFS with this radical type of facial 'race-changing' surgery?

I guess it would be possible with cheek bones surgery and eyes surgery.

I don't know if it's still happening but for a while in Japan there was a local industry in making Japanese women look Caucasian. The procedures involved opening up the eyes and changing other facial feature to make the women look less Japanese. I think it started partially because of the Japanese attraction to things American and some of their dislike of conformity. If you look at those procedures, you might find what you are after.

A minor correction. I am sure it is things European, not American. Japan have a long history of cultural and technological exchanges with European countries, such as Portugal and Spain, and later with Germany and Britain.

I am not an expert but the main differences between Asian and European faces are the cheek bones (I guess you would need reduction) Eyes, you will need opening and upper blepheroplasty and the noses (you will need augmentation of the nose). Of course consulting a doctor who has experience with this will give you more useful information.

I would strongly advise against it. Back when I was working in the plastic surgery industry in Korea I would always come across an asian patient who wanted to look caucasian. And the thing is, plastic surgery is about enhancing the original structure of your face/body. When you aim to undergo radical changes, it causes the person to look very fake and unnatural. There were many girls that would come in asking for a caucasian nose for example and to do that on an asian person, who typically has a flatter bridge, wider alars more bulbous tissue in the tip and thicker skin density when compared to caucasians, much structural damage will be sustained follow the procedure which can risk contracture etc. Additionally, the nose tends to look off balance with the asian features. You also gotta remember that asians facial bones have less depth than caucasians. This depth cannot be modified in full but rather all you can do is augment certain parts of your face. However, when augmenting the outer structures of an asian person, the face ends up looking wider and unpleasing. So you gotta consider all that.

My impression is that plastic surgery is more drastic in Japan than in Korea for looking exotic with drastic changes.
Of course, here in S. Korea, I have seen some women with very awkward or sometimes horrifying appearance, but at least most young girls who seem to have undergone surgery look more natural with subtle changes. While travelling in Japan, I have seen many young girls looking like those female characters in Japanese manga or anime.

As the article above suggested, they even do not look like a Caucasian, but someone surreal or fantastic.
