Today I checked in to the hospital and I should have my surgery tomorrow.
Currently I have to drink 3 litre of disgusting laxative. I don't know how to get the last litre down, there is just no room left in my stomach.
The last days I got more and more anxious about the outcome, post op care and worries about the decision. It's me overthinking again, as usual ;)
I wish you the best for a speedy recovery! I am actually envious of a surgical procedure!

From what I hear there will be soon.

It wasn't that bad, maybe because of the long time period I needed to get it down.
Adding Raspberry juice to the solution did the trick.

Thank you! :)
Now I'm getting a little bit nervous, I'm ready in my room and I'm waiting to get picked up.

Congratulations!!! Who did you go with for surgery?

I hope things went well. Waiting to hear back from you as soon as you can tap that keyboard again.
Hi Thessa,
Congratulations! Look forward to hearing your story. I am only two weeks earlier than you. At two weeks my head is clear and I am starting to do a lot more. People were right, rest, listen to your body, and let people help you. Very happy for you.
Moni
I'm so happy for you! And so jealous! I'm a loooong way from surgery, if I can ever afford it.
Hope everything goes well!!

Thank you for all your wishes! [emoji66]
I'm doing relatively fine, tomorrow I'm finally allowed to get out of bed.
Yesterday my Surgeon told me that the surgery was about 6 hours and that he is very satisfied and maybe there is no need for corrections. *Fingers crossed*

My Surgeon was Dr. Klaus Schrögendorfer, he is the only one, as far as I know, who is doing the combined method of Dr. Schaff here in Austria.
The staff at the hospital is very nice and so far there is nothing to complain about.

Hi Moni,
I'm happy for you and that after two weeks you are already able to do more. That sounds really great.
I will try to give my body and myself the time to heal. Although I have so many things to do... ;)
Hugs, Thessa
I expect you are much younger than I am, so you will bounce back quicker. There was a young woman, Aubrey, having surgery about the time I did. I was laying in bed and in she pops in the room to say hello. My impression was that she danced into the room high kicking like a Rockette, fresh from rock climbing and horse back riding. It might have been the influence of the drugs I was on, but I had the urge to chop one of those legs out from under her. lol No one should feel that good after this. Anyway enough of my rambling. Hope you recover quickly, Girl.
Moni
Congratulations on making it to the other side and many hugs from München! ;)
Keep me posted!

And that's exactly the reason why I don't mingle with the older transwomen who're having SRS the same time as me (I'm currently 8 days post-op and still in the hospital).
I'm happy to be up and about, walking around the place and having not too much pain. I guess that's what being young does. What I do get from the older women around me, is a lot of hateful and jealous looks. Perhaps it's my passing, perhaps it's my ability to bounce back... but what the hell, we're all goig through the same thing!
So please, keep your opinions about sawing off the legs of people like me to yourself. It's not our fault you're still in bed. >:(

I understood it as a joke too.
So everyone's got to keep their legs.
Speaking of, I was allowed to get out of bed and walk around. I feel like a human again.

Thanks for pointing out that I was joking. I do that a lot, its a defect in my personality. lol I wish no one ill will, in fact, I formed friendships with everyone in the recovery house including a wonderful 17 year old girl. I tried extremely hard to encourage her as she was having a hard time. Jealousy is so unproductive and I try to avoid it. Why anyone would give you a mean look is beyond me. Sorry I made you upset. Sorry to take away attention from Thessa's thread. I celebrate your legs Thessa (and Lili's)and am glad you are using them again, yea!

Ich lieg schon die ganze Zeit im Bett... wenn das keine (Pflicht-)Erholung ist, weiß ich's auch nicht mehr :D
Sorry for the lash out, it was a moment of annoyance I had with somebody else shortly before replying to Thessa's thread, I guess it spilled over a little bit.
Und Thessa, ich wünsch dir alles Gute dort! :D
Gute Besserung Thessa, hoffe, Du bist bald wieder auf den Beinen...

No problem, we are good!
Today they removed the foam material and clamps. One labia is a lot bigger than the other one but I assume it's just a different stage of swelling.
Tommorow the place holder will be removed and maybe the catheter.
In case that everything is fine, this means dilation and urinating is working as expected, I can leave the hospital by Thuesday.
Which would be fine, I'm starting to get cranky and I just want to go home.
One week and one day and I'm home again! I'm happy and dilation is also working quit well so far. [emoji3]
The bad thing, I had an power outage and can now clean my fridge and freezer.
I had prepared a lot in advance, so that I don't need to cook after coming back from the hospital. That plan didn't work so well...
congradualations on getting home and being in such good shape. Don't over do with all you have seen to do. Healing and dilating are you main items for you to be concerned with at this time. You had major and need to take it easy and take care of yourself and follow your surgeons orders.
Congratulations Thessa
I hope you are recovering well and feeling better. I apologies for not commenting on your surgery before you had it done and since. I was preoccupied with my own escapades. Selfish of me I know but it was as it needed to be. I am happy to see you seemingly recovering well and hope the new artwork is everything you hoped it to be. Take care of it as it is precious and essential to who you are.
Hugs,
Laurie
