Hiya everyone, let me start by saying I'm a 37 yo mtf, recently started hormones and still fighting with gender dysphoria and depression. I was a cutter. Six months ago I hit rock bottom with depression and I began cutting on my own genitals. After a long history of self harm I came within millimeters of removing my own testes. I think the only thing that stopped me was a lack of adrenaline. With therapy I've managed to not self harm anymore though that compulsion to remove the testosterone producers still exists and with some help should be taken care of soon enough through proper channels.
This site has provided me with strength and a sense of community for someone that is fairly isolated. Seeing the success of so many of my sisters here is incredible and inspirational. I look forward to sharing moments in my transition and hopefully will find some individuals I can call friends or even family.
Welcome, Brianna!
It is heartening to hear that you are now going through the right channels to deal with your dysphoria.
Looking forward to hearing more about your journey towards self-fulfilment. The right hormones along side specialist medical and psychological care will work wonders for you.

Hi Brianna, welcome!
I am glad you now have a therapist and HRT. You also have the backing of people here - at times when I feel challenged I visualize some of Susan's regulars standing there right next to me.
