Hi! I'm Jada, I'm fairly new here. I posted a thread with some pictures of me not too long ago and got some good advice :D this is my original thread: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,225089.0.html here's the older pics

Hello, Jada.
After looking at the pictures, I can say:
Positives -
Your lips are very feminine both in size and shape.
Your eyebrows look much more shapely and feminine compared to the older images and they accentuate your eyes.
When your hair is down, it's much more feminizing for your overall face shape.
Your hands and arms appear to be a lot less vascular.
Negatives -
Your midsection is fairly male-shaped as I can visibly see your iliac furrow which is a very uncommon site on women. Because your stomach is so slim and straight, the choice of a crop top is causing your shoulders and upper half in general to look much bulkier and more masculine than it actually is.
The makeup in the first image (with the heavy pink eyeshadow) is, in my honest opinion, a bit costume-esque. Anyone wearing heavy and unusually colored makeup, cis or otherwise, is likely to attract a lot of scrutinizing attention. If you're trying to pass and you already have some features working against you, this may not necessarily be what you want.
You have a lot of things working for you and a few things that need some tweaking, but you're well on your way.
I think you will have a better chance of passing if you wear more conservative clothing. A simple V-neck tee with shorts or jeans does a lot more for helping you pass than what you are wearing here (especially in the 2 newest photos).
The problem with attention-grabbing clothing is that they give you exactly that - attention. You don't want to invite scrutiny, second looks, and long stares if you are trying to pass.
Also, have you been to a makeup counter at a specialty store such as Sephora or MAC Cosmetics? They can help you with makeup choices and technique to give you a more feminine look without making you look over-the-top. I think your makeup looks nice in the 4th photo, but in the 3rd photo it's just too much.
I see steady improvement and the last photo with the dark hair will work but I would like to see the last photo makeup style with your own hair because with the right styling it is going to be better than a wig.
Can you Pass was the question
Yes you have improved and yes if you keep improving you will get better ;D
I should apologize now if this comes off as harsh. That's not my intention.
Pro: The makeup itself is much better, so good effort in that department.
Bare with me here for a sec. I hope you realize that the majority (Not all Dang it!) of American Transwomen who really pass well have been on HRT for a considerable amount of time. Not only that, they have probably had at least some surgery to address their overly male traits. What I'm saying here is that it takes a lot more than a good makeup job to pass for the most part. And more than anything it takes time to "cook" and boil off the bad juju while being on HRT. I don't know what your situation is, but that's pretty much how it works.
I'm a little confused about the outfits. You might try to wear clothes that flatter your figure and create an illusion of parts you are lacking, like curves. You seem to be drawing attention to those very areas for some reason and it's not helping you create a feminine presentation. There are all kinds of little tells that add up to the overall giveaway.
What is the context in which you need to pass?
I am pretty sure that you will pass, however I'm a newbie-ish at this too. So I really can't name everything that I need to see on a person's body in order for that person to pass as their preferred gender.
Your makeup in the two newest photos is prefect.
I think your stomach looks masculine in some ways.
If you keep up with what you are doing, I think you'll pass fully 100% of the time.
I hope this helps in some ways. [emoji3] But you definitely pass as female.

Westerners are hung up about passing and many confuse passing with beauty. That being said you can improve the 'looks' componant.
You look better in a wig as you dont seem to have sufficient hair, this will change with HRT.
Great that you are thin and in Asia the women are not so shaped as the west. So for a western view if after HRT for a few years its still hasnt changed then implants are easy. Or wear padding.
Other than that you could use makeup classes.

Actually, Westerners are more hung up about not getting the crap kicked out of them or killed walking out of a bar at night or even attacked in their home by a violent partner. Passing isn't about beauty here, it's about blending in with others for safety.

Yes this is my worry I know I will never pass, if I was to go out at night all female I would my head kick in, its be enough living next door to lbgt hater, wait till they find out
Mod Edit <Fixed quotation>
I get sad when I hear about your fears which scate me. In Bangkok no one cares.
The danger for trans-people can come from a lot of different sources and it's not applied equally. The most vulnerable are people just starting their transitions before they are seasoned to the risks of certain situations. Some people can rely on the safety-bubble of a college campus others have to deal with much harsher urban and rural locations. It's not all scary but it does drive a need for many to pass as much of it as possible. The whole beauty thing is a bonus proposition.
Iliac furrow is not uncommon in women who are athletic and lean. I find it sexy on a woman. I have it also and I get many compliments on it.

I appreciate all your input. I only dress that way in private and how only been dressed as a woman in public a few times. Also these times, I wore much more conservative clothing. (Jeans, T-Shirt, Long Skirt).
I dont think the blonde wig suits you but the dark wig looks amazong.
Unlike the other ladies I say dress however you want but remember, the more you show, the more people WILL look at you :)
You have wide eyes and pouty lips, definitely can work in your favor. The choker is fine also. The long hair in the bottom pic works better. I'm all for wearing what makes you comfortable but if we're speaking strictly passing I'd say lose the crop tops and short skirts, they're drawing attention right into the midsection. You could get away with the skirts (also try hip pads if you want!) but try darker shirts with lighter bottoms.

After an old lady chastised me in a Burger King for having my the back of my long skirt raised all the way up and caught up in my panties after the ladies room visit (and that wasn't intentional [blush]!), I find long skirts less practical for my narrow hips and skinny butt than flared, slightly-below knee skirts.
Minis work fine too (for me) for club wear, but only with black pantyhose (again to hide those male knees).

Silly! I meant the one in your old profile photo :)
Looked like something from the 80s to me lol :)
The final photo looks good. Love the dark hair, and tummy is flat. Seems you have full lips. This is with just a little HRT? You look fab and can only get better. :)

Thanks so much! Only 2 months of HRT and that ended about a month ago. I just got a job w/ insurance so I can go back on it. I hate not taking it. I also need to get like a similar wig as the black one but a good one actually, lol. I should go to a salon and see what they can do with my hair
The beard shadow has got to go, or it won't matter how well you do your makeup.
Likewise (though we can't hear it in pictures), you'll need to retrain your voice, too.
These will take a good one to two years.
From the last two pics I can definately see an improvement!
I think you are still too early on your transition. Wait for HRT to work a bit more while your hair grows and I am sure that after some time you'll start getting misgendered while trying to present on male mode ;).
What I can say (please, I mean no offense) is that you would benefit a bit from a small weight gain! Unfortunately your arms and hands are still too skinny and showing some veins (what is a big giveaway as cis women usually don't have visible veins on their arms and hands). But HRT will also help with that, increasing the amount of fat beneath your skin. Also, gaining weight while on HRT would help you gaining fat on more female regions, like tighs and butt!!
I also would suggest a diferent set of clothes... of course you can wear whatever you want, but most cis women out there wear more discrete clothes... think about "everyday casual wear"...clothes that doesn't show too much skin and that doesn't get too much attention while on public.
Hmmm and your make-up on the third pic is also standing out too much. Most cis women don't wear too much make-up, only if they are going out for a dinner or a night party and even though make-up is usually more discrete... the problem about wearing too much make-up with exotic colors is that you'll be getting more attention than you should... and it can resemble "drag make-up", what you should avoid at all costs.
Again, I've meant no offense. I just think that the best way to pass as a woman is to wear the most discrete clothes and make-up possible. You want to mix with the crowd, not stand out. I am sure that with time you'll learn what clothes suits better your body and your physical type. Also, wait a few more months...one year of HRT can make miracles and your natural hair wll be much longer, so you can style it on a more feminine way! ;)
By the way... do you play World of Warcraft? Your name got my attention... so, I shall end this comment with "Suffer well, friend", wishes from a former human death knight that used to play WoW a lot. ;D
I chose " You need much more time/ practice etc." I agree with whoever said that more conservative clothing may be more complementary. In my experience, I've found that baggy or lose fitting clothes are better, just because what tight clothes do is reveal our bodies haven't reached their full feminine potential.
I don't know how long you've been on HRT (if you are) but I would say give it more time to do its thing before showing some skin.
I chose #3. You need to work on things a little but you have lots of potential. If you want to go for the warm weather girly/sexy look find some handkerchief hem tank tops, (or tank tops that flare a little at the bottom), lightweight/lacy/crochet long sleeve or sleeveless sweaters, and get some shorts that flare out a little in the legs. This will hide your shoulders, your waistline, and make your hips look wider. Fit and flare dresses will look wonderful on you because you are thin.
For winter, oversized sweaters, scarves, oversized man tailored shirts, there are lots of fun looks. And don't forget hats and jewelry.
Keep at it, you are at the beginning of something really good.
Hi Jada,
I voted 4. You already gained a lot more skill in the make-up department, and with the tips from this thread I'm certain you'll be able to make more significant progress in due time. You're looking great, so keep at it!
As an idea, I think your make-up would look better with a shade of reddish brown, and be more subtle on the blush. (I'm a trans guy whose make-up skills pre-T weren't anything to be proud of though, so take my advice with a pinch of salt!) To experiment quickly with your make-up: there are free phone apps where you can "try on" make-up looks using your phone and your camera, e.g. YouCam Makeup. The results aren't always convincingly real (depending on how subtle/outrageous you go), but I think it could be nice for inspiration before going out and buying new products.
I'm really liking the look with the black hair combined with red lipstick and blue clothing, though :)
