First off, sorry about this but it's an issue I face and I can't find an answer to it anywhere and none of my girlfriends have an answer either.

So here is the deal. When buying panties, I get comfortable ones. nothing sexy or anything like that. just standard cotton or cotton blends briefs. Problem is, I have no hips and so they keep riding down in the back. I find myself having to hike my undies up 20 times a day just to cover my rear bumper. Now I know that I can get those panties with the elastic in them, but they cut in to much and start to hurt after half a day. I should probably mention that I am severely overweight and I know that is part of the problem.

So the question. What options do I have here? Stop wearing them? Not going to happen.

The bad news is that the overweight part is the issue.  I had the same problem when my belly was bigger around than my hips.  Now that it's smaller the problem has disappeared.

You are not alone in this struggle. I have had this too for the longest time, especially before starting HRT.

What I found is that it depends on size, style and brand. Generally panties with a bit more fabric and a smaller size do stay in place. Try boy shorts and try one size smaller.
Initially most of the Victoria Secret stuff I bout just did the same thing. Now 6 month on HRT and a lot of shrinking, they stopped slipping down.

Another thing I noticed is that it also depends what I wear over them. Something which moves a lot makes it more likely to slip.

It really is a matter of trying to find some which fit well and stay put. Once I found some, I actually ended up ordering 20 of them...

I am another girl who was overweight and by losing over 120 pounds, I also lost many other issues that went along with being overweight. Clothes are just a minor issue when compared with all the other problems overweight people have.

The best I found were boy leg style hipsters  because of the extra room, as HRT has progressed they are still a very comfortable fit and they sit low on your hips. So if you do have the belly then they sit comfortable and securely under that

Cay, many people find that losing weight is a major battle that they will lose. If this is the case with you, try a girdle, and/or tight panties. They cannot fall down if they are tight enough to not fall down.

Weight I can't help you with cuz i only need to lose 20 lbs.  And it is still a struggle for me.  As to panties I have a drawer full.  Some fit better than others.  I have a pair of sliders on right now.  Pink hipsters.  Cute!!  But don't like my man butt.  I do have others.  I think Maidenform cheekys that are so nice.  I like that lacy butt hug and they do not cover up cheeks completely but can hold the man bits in place with good elastic all around.  I got them thought Hanes.com and if you go wait til they are on sale.  They run sales all the time.  And assume free shipping too.  For your situation I would suggest try one or 2 pairs to see how they work out.  Test run.  Then add to your drawer as you find the yummy ones for you.  Good luck.

 Getting clothing to stay in place is a well known problem for cis-women. There are many products made to hold things in place. They range fro double sided tapes to roll on glues I bought one such glue called "It Stays" but it wasn't suitable for the purpose I bought it for. However these products probably work fine for the intended purpose. You should be able to find something along this line in almost any department store. I got mine from Amazon). (Ask one of the employees in the women's departments)
  The glue type products basically provide a non-slip surface (on you) to keep cloth from sliding easily.
