I've been on the same dosages for about 15 months and my levels of Estradiol were running around 110-130 pg/ml and testosterone had been around 30-50 ng/dl
Suddenly in most recent tests my estradiol is tested up at about 830 and they retested the following week and it was still running above 800. Both tests were taken in similar timeframes, about 2-3 hours after taking my morning pill. Testosterone had fallen to about 10-12 on both tests. They were specific on the second test that they had ruled out a prolactinoma.
Anyone have a similar change? They didn't seem particularly concerned, although i am seeing my GP in the near future.
Did they confirm ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57q3kq4FP2o

Ha! yeah they lined up. I'm not sure what the upper limits for estradiol should be.

LOL does that really matter? You are getting what you need.
You know I'm going to have to take that drive down to meet you soon.

Typical numbers would be 200 pg/ml however after 24 hours, my numbers are about 50 while other members run near 1000. Pregnant women can easily run in the thousands. The best time to test is shortly before your next dosage as that will give you a low number but if you really want to be exact, you get a peak number, a low number and middle number. As you just took your dosage, that number may be reasonable as estradiol has a half life of a couple of hours in the body and a few hours latter your levels would have been much lower.

Yeah definitely, or i am up there fairly often too. :)
Do you happen to take your estrogen SUBLINGUALLY/BUCALLY? Levels will spike the first 1-3 hours if you take your pill this way and then quickly fall.
I've had levels over 1,000, as high as 4,000 pg/ml with injections.
Prolactinoma, a tumor of the pituitary, causes prolactin levels to rise significantly and not estradiol levels to rise. High estradiol levels will trigger prolactin secretion, that is perfectly normal and in that context, the high prolactin levels are due to estrogen, not a tumor. Estrogen has never been shown to be causally linked to the onset of prolactinomas. Despite decades of very high dose estrogen use in transsexual women, there are only 8 prolactinomas reported in the literature. Women become pregnant, with high levels of estradiol (up to 75,000 pg/ml), high levels of prolactin (up to 600 ng/ml) and don't chronically get prolactinomas. Pregnancy is not even contraindicated in women with microprolactinomas and sometimes, the tumor even regresses following pregnancy.
Thanks Kay- i am taking my pills orally. Was pretty surprised it went that high although it was within 2-3 hours of taking the dosage.
Mine did something similar and my doctor walked in laughing and said "oh, looks like your ovulating!"
Funniest thing I'd heard in a long time. I love my Dr. He's a riot sometimes.

Well next time then. I will be in Portland sometime this coming month i am sure.
mine have been as high as almost 800 pg/ml an hour after dissolving a tablet sublingually and as low as 40 pg/ml in the morning before any estradiol is taken at all.
