Average pay starts around $62,000 a year.
Seattle and the Puget Sound area are very tolerant, holding one of the largest LGBT communities in the country. There are numerous support groups available.
$62,000 monthly! :o I'll be right there!

Bless him. He sees opportunity where some see incongruence.

After feeling kicked in the face two days ago (and I didn't even serve my country) we can all use some positive news.
I am proud to be in the Seattle area and have lived here several decades. Most of the good gender specialists have a waiting list. My therapist told me this is because so many transgender are migrating here from other parts of the US. The top transgender-familiar GPs are not accepting any new patients unless there is some medically urgent exception - they are full. I was surprised to discover the longest-running US transgender support group and center is in Seattle (I would have guessed San Francisco or New York City).
What I really wish for is not just locally sensible people and political figures, but to see this sort of thing impact the entire country and set a good example. Individual sheriff deputies like Jaime Deer - he came out very publicly in 2016 in hopes of creating a better place for all of us.
The economy in Seattle is red-hot and it's a fact we are more creative and ambitious than average. Our existence certainly has not caused a drag on the financial big picture.
Drag, I see what you did there!
Hugs, Devlyn
I just knew you would catch that!
I should have set my stopwatch - to measure Devlyn's performance.
It's happened today in Texas also.
A Texas mayor just invited trans service members to join his police force

Yeah, right. As long as they follow the new Texas law and pee in the right bathroom

The Ingersoll Center has been hosting weekly support group meetings for four decades. Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the Seattle Counseling Center 1261 Pine street.
Founded in 1969, Seattle Counseling Service is proud to be the oldest LGBTQ-focused community mental health agency in the world!
Love to see anyone who lives in the area attend a meeting.
Oops. I'm old and senile and don't know the difference between monthly and yearly as I tend to be day to day.
Shame I'm in SC. Way too far to go to take a job lol.

I kinda like the idea of tarring and feathering villains.
