Hello everyone! I'm Lisandra, 21 years old musician and trans person. I started taking hormones on April 2016, and came out to the last member of my family last new year's dinner.
I think I started my transition about 4 years ago, long before taking hormones and even thinking about wearing female clothes. This forum has been a great help since then, and I want to give something back now. I hope I can be usefull.
Well, see you later at the forum!
Hi, Lisandra, and welcome! :)
Congratulations on your excellent progress. Glad you are here!

Hello Lisandra and welcome!
I started violin when I was 6, and then Seattle Youth Symphony, private recitals, soloed in front of an orchestra when I was 15, etc. Started at the University of Washington in 1979 on a music scholarship (also engineering, an odd double major). And then career and things kinda took over along with a very gradual disconnect with other things... which led to transition later in life for me. Fast forward to today and I'm in a rather loud band on the electric violin and work for a software company. I like both classical music and rowdy thumpin' stuff. I will transition to full time pretty soon and expect to be much more comfortable and free on stage as my true self. But enough of that, this introduction is about you.
With music you get to communicate with one of the best art forms. Music is a unique and deep form of communication that spans human languages and cultures. An individual who might not understand your spoken words can appreciate and enjoy your music. I think it's logical you would be just as determined with your personal life, discovering and then living as your true self. As we say, practice makes perfect.
