Title: How do you know when you're ready?
Post by: J.T. on December 01, 2007, 02:30:42 AM
This is something that I have been wondering over the last couple of months.  My therapist seems to be pushing that first over top surgery.  Or she was just trying to get me to think...

So, how did you know it was time to start hormones?  Thanks for the feedback.

Mine was pushing it too over top surgery. But I'd much rather be more comfortable in my body before any 'changes' take place.

The first thing that I did was to see a gender therapist.  During our sessions my belief that I need to be female and *not* male became reinforced.  After 92 days of life in therapy I was given a letter recommending me for HRT.

I did something concrete, something objective to start my journey on March 2, 2002 and I have *never* looked back.
