Post by: elephantstampede on August 06, 2017, 12:38:48 PM
Hi, new here and I thought I should announce myself. I'm a mtf, about 9 months on hrt and I've been needing a safe space around people who have some understanding of what I'm going through.

btw is there way to change my username?

Hi nameless atm,

I'm Laurie, MtF, old, and i began HRT 8 months ago. Welcome to Susan's Place (Hug) Come on in. This is certainly athe place you will find others that understand what you are going through. Whatever it is you will likely find some that have been there and done that who will be there to help you should you need it. They have been of great help to me and many I now count as friends. I hope you will find the same support here that I have.

Again welcome to Susan's. Welcome home

Hugs,

Hello and welcome!

Glad you have joined Susan's, you are definitely safe here.  I am also MTF, I started my HRT prescription two weeks ago.  I joined Susan's for the same reason you did - to find other people who understand what I am going through.  This place is one of the reasons I have become so comfortable with my transition and confident in my future.  I make my own personal decisions but it's reassuring to learn what others have experienced in their transition.

I'm going to add the following information for you - we always provide this to new members.  One of the reasons Susan's is a safe space is we have guidelines to keep this a welcoming and supportive place for all transgender individuals.

Welcome to Susan's Place. Any moderator can change you name for you however there are a few restrictions. The name must be clean, it can't be used by anybody else and you only get two name changes a year so choose wisely  ;D Also be aware that case doesn't matter so the system treats "A" and "a" as the same characters. The upper right hand corner of the screen has a members tap that will allow you to search the available names and determine an alternative if the first one isn't available.

I think you will find members in all stages of their transition who are willing help you with what ever you need. As for me, I am one of the very senior members on the site as my surgery was in 1982. Much of what I know still applies and I am willing to learn more. If there is anything I can help you with, let me know.

Hi there,

We mods just need to know what you would like your user name changed to. Plust, among some of the info from the site, it should say you are only able to change it once a year.

welcome to Susans.

Look forward to seeing you around.

With warmth,

Jacqueline
