Hi everyone. I have been waiting for someone who knew me before transition to out me in front of people and it happened. I was at the mall with a friend. A friend who didn't know I was trans. Of all the really bad luck, I ran into this stupid girl my brother dated for like 2 weeks. It was before I transitioned. The reason he dumped her is because she asked him what was wrong with me and he explained I had albinism. She said and I was a "->-bleeped-<-got" too and it would have been better if I had been aborted or drowned at birth. That really pissed my brother off and he threw her out of the house and dumped her right then.
So my friend and I are walking through the mall and there is Lucy. She was with 3 other people, a guy and 2 girls. I was hoping maybe she would just walk by without a incident. But no luck with that. She walked up to me and said "oh, hi Julian!" Then she introduced me to her friends as Tyler Anderson's little "brother" who went off last year and had a sex change. She made sure everyone around us heard her too. The girls she was with started laughing and the guy scowled at me and said I was gross. Then she said SHE had dumped Tyler because he was also a "->-bleeped-<-". I told her Tyler Wasn't gay, he just had standards. Then one of her friends ask me if I "pretended" to be a girl every time I went out. Before I could respond my friend said "it must really bother you that someone who started life male can be so much prettier than all three of you." That got some F you comments and then they walked away. My friend said she had heard a rumor that I was trans but that she hadn't believed it was true. But she said it didn't matter to her and that she had only ever known Julia. I didn't cry or anything but again I was just so shocked I really couldn't think of anything to say. I thought of all kinds of great stuff I could have said but I ended up speechless in the moment. I really HATE that!
Julia
Sorry that happened to you. My brother still likes to public ally use my birth name out in public so I can sympathise just a little bit.
On the bright side at least now you know you really do have a true friend who will stick by you and is supportive of you :)
People can be so pathetic sometimes....
I can't say much more to it to be honest.
Well done to your friend
I am so sorry, brings back bad memories for me. If u r prettier, u got the last laugh! ;D
Sorry to hear that. Some people just have no class. Sucks to get comments like that and I think most of us come up with the best comebacks only after the fact.
But good on your brother and good on your friend handling that situation so firmly! It's a blessing to have people like that in your life.
They're just jealous that not only are you prettier, you have a bigger heart too!
Don't let those jerks get to you, they're just that, jerks.
Tyler and your friend are amazing! Keep them both around, its obvious they love the true you!

Hi Julia,
I agree with the others, you have a great friend and a great brother. The other morons aren't worth thinking about. I also think your friend probably struck a nerve. I think those women will be stewing about that comment for quite a while. Well done. :-)
Take care,
Paige :)
Good Friend.
Ugly People (I know this from their actions)
Who would you rather focus on :)
Them don't matter. That outing, while being unpleasant, has no effect in your life. On another hand, you've got a great confirmation you have a true friend. So, no reason to be upset. Mean people make life uncomfortable now and then, but they are the losers in the end (in the grand scheme of things)

Julia,
I know this may seem a foolish comment at this but you are a very fortunate young woman. Your Dad and your brother love you and support you. You are insulted by some silly fool and you stand proud and respectful.
You owned that moment and the fools will, if they ever grow brains, come to see how dumb they have been and will feel ashamed of themselves. They may never mention it but it will eat them.
Instead of some confrontational response you acted as a normal young woman would. I'm proud of you. And you should be proud of yourself.
Cindy
Cindy's right. You did the right thing. By not responding to their actions you have less credit to them. Fact is you responded as any young woman would and that is always the best way to handle it. I know it can be nerve-racking at the moment, but is always the best way. Hugs
Mariah
I am sorry that this happened to you. But you handled it well. And you have great taste in friends! Kudos to her for standing by you and defending you. Like your father and brother, she is a class act.
ACK, that's no fun, but your support structure is great. Chin up girl, this will be but a distant memory in time.
good friend
