Good for you! :D
Congratulations Kelly on your decision and for doing this the right way.
My prescription began 16 days ago.
Physical changes not expected yet, although three people noticed something within the first week, and this is due to the following: Changes to my perception and mindset are awesome, as in wow - and were quite sudden.
No precise guarantees as we each have different brains, bodies, genetics, age and medical history. And not everyone has the same gender goal or starting point.
After a year on estradiol I am happy to say it was the best decision I've made in a long time. I've almost become a feeling human being again. Still working on it but I am determined to succeed.

Congratulations Kelly. You're definitely going about it the right way and I'm sure you'll get better results with the right experts helping you
I started three weeks ago. Nothing major has happened physically yet but the changes to my mental state were clear within just a few days - I just wish I'd done it earlier!
thank you everyone and i think we all say the same thing about starting earlier

Hi Kelly,
Congratulations on mustering the courage to make that appointment and on deciding to do it the right way. It is a much wiser decision than the DIY method that I started with. I eventually got smart and switched to a doctor's supervision.
Hugs,
Laurie
thank you Laurie and i just made my first electrolysis appointment for monday :) :)

I'm a beginner at electrologist myself having had only 3 sessions totaling 5 hours. My forth is Friday the 18th. Has anyone given you tips on preparations for a session yet? Numbing cream, plastic wrap, hydration, caffeine, etc ?
Hugs,
Laurie

Congratulations! That's an exciting step. I remember how excited I was when I finally made that appointment. I just wanted to tell someone right away. Hope it goes well for you. And good luck with the wait. I have found the waiting to be one of the worst parts of transitioning.

I don't want to hijack the thread but first Congratulations Kelly this is a big first step and you should be proud in taking it.
I have used numbing creams which have been effective. It still hurts like hell when the upper and lower lip areas are done. I have used speednumb which i bought off ebay (this is not an endorsement). I have a new electrologist that I start with in 3 weeks. She has her own numbing cream which I am going to try after my existing supply is gone.
Congratulations my dear! One of the most wonderful parts of transitioning.
Congratulations :)
