I did earlier in my transition but I set them straight.

No I haven't. I'm too new at this but there's still plenty of time. I'm sure it will happen eventually and when it does I'll just consider the source and chalk it up to extreme ignorance.

No, but I had a cousin that was.

I remember you with longer hair Grandmama.
I can see this topic is going to Fester.

I'm Adammant that not a Thing will go wrong until Wednesday unless people want to get Pugsleyatious about itt.
I just think you are all being creepy, I don't believe a Thing
Whatever you girls are smoking, pass it around! :o
To answer the question, I am tempted to answer "Not by any human." >:-) But, the true answer is that I have been lucky so far.
Yes. I was very androgynous before I transitioned. People often had trouble telling what sex I actually was. I got called "it" a lot at school. If someone called me that now it would upset me but at the time it didn't bother me at all. To me being called "it" was still better than people referring to me as a male.
That news article is sad. It just shows how much total ignorance is out there.

Not yet but if I do I'll ask them if they want a balloon.
When they look at me weird, or weirder, I'll just say "We all float down here."
Yes, among other things. You really can't fix stupid... It is what it is. The rants of an ill informed person. It's never worth the trouble in a public setting.
Yes. In the beginning I was called many things including "it". For me it was the worst of them all.
Yes, one of my old guy friends called me that a few times... I didn't tell him but I told his wife. I'm sure he didn't know how wrong this was...

Pugsleyatious ?
Please elaborate so i can avoid it lol.
And yes I was.
It was in response to my requesting not to be called a man. "What should I call you then it?"
I answered with I though that would be obvious.
Gave them a list of things to google, and said I might consider talking to them once they graduate.
Funny thing is, now they automatically call me she, they hate that they do, but its nice to see somebody experiencing the emotional distress being misunderstand causes me. Their discomfort at automatically correctly gendering me, is enough to forgive them for instantly purposefully slipping in the wrong one
I was by my dad when I got my ears pierced when i was 14. I have not spoken to him since I was 16 and am happy about that.
By my wife but that was years ago before I came out!!!!!!
No but I already know how I would respond. "I'd rather be an 'it' than someone low enough to call another person an 'it'."
Moni
I feel so unprepared, would a Munster reference do?
When very young, all the time. In one of the languages of my childhood all infants and young children are called "it" and everyone above a certain age is referred to as "he." There was no pronoun equivalent to the English "she."
I've never been called "it". I think it would hurt a lot.
I remember the first time someone referred to me as "she", and it was pure music to my ears.
I still get like that
If it happened to me, I wouldn't care. I don't care what others say about me, they don't pay my bills.
Aren't robots called 'it' too? It is an objectification word, to make someone feel subhuman. Don't give them that satisfaction that it actually matters what they say. I would say, "Okay, what else do you want to say?"
Words are meaningless especially sentences. I don't even care what pronoun name he or she.... if you benefit me in my life then you can stick around, if you don't I won't give much attention to them.
I really lost the quality of actually caring what people say....
Unfortunately, a keynote speaker giving an address at an opening convocation for teachers and staff for the new school year made a comment about not worrying about referring to students as "he", "she" or "it". This was in Texas and although I'm sure this was supposed to be a bit of humor it shows that most people just don't get it. The PC regarding us that we see in the government is mostly superficial and driven by dictates rather than personal understanding and if it were not for laws (an approach I hate) we'd all be in deep trouble. I can laugh at myself and even at the craziness of this situation with my friends who know me and are laughing with me, but I see more everyday about people giving lip service but really haven't a clue. I can't say I see things improving with the current administration, and I'm really thinking about leaving Texas. Not everyone is myopic here, but far too many to make me feel safe except in certain areas.
I'm sure we all have, even if not to our faces.

Yeah Texas just isn't the best state for Transgender but I still don't see me leaving for a long time.

Hi Wild Flower,
I so wish I was like you and not care what people think of me. I wonder if there's any way to train yourself not to care about other peoples opinions.
Thanks,
Paige :)
Being open and out as an online gamer and social media presence I have been called plenty of things by lower less credible "people", "it" being one of the more toned down versions.
