That one sounds nice. Every lady needs a LBD. Congrats

Along those lines. I went to Target last night bralette shopping, as in wandering around in the bra section and actually looking for a hookless bra I liked. And I found one!  I also bout a bright orange v-neck T-shirt, some light bulbs, and 3 bottles of nail polish. I still have to take the bra back today. I knew I should not have gone by the size chart on the tag.  :(

  Hugs,
   Laurie

Congratulations on your first wasted money (well, maybe not your first, but still wasted). 9 times out of 10, a dress bought online either doesn't look that good in real life or doesn't fit that well. I hope there's at least some decent return policy there.

Sometimes you get lucky, but yeah there is always a big risk when buying online. Just don't get too disheartened if it doesn't look exactly how you dreamed. Blame the dress not yourself and push onward trying more things.

My rule of thumb, buy online only if shipping is free and you can return it to the store or ship back free.

I like(d) ordering things online from real stores when chances were my size won't be available in a store itself (or close out sales when only warehouse have last few xlt-sizes and willing to sell them at 50% off). Usually I would just get it delivered to the store, pick up and go to the fitting room. If it doesn't fit, I'd save myself gas and trouble by returning it right away.

Thanks for the tip, hope I don't learn the hard way. I went all out, I bought some 4" pumps closed toe with straps, panties, full lace and thong, make up (blush, eye liner, mascara, lip stick sexy red, the eye liner tool) lashes and glue , a nice black handkerchief skirt. I already had two wigs one long blond and one short black. Garder belt my favorite makes me feel sexy  thigh highs in red white and black. Yesterday at Wal-Mart I bought hair ties and some hair bands I want to use for my neck.    Almost forgot from another online store I bought a real sexy collar.  What am I forgetting? Still need some tops don't feel right about anything with my nails yet.

Make up remover. Plus if you haven't already facial cleaner like masks or wipes to clean those pores.

Foundation, powder - both needs to be matching to your skin tone. Eye shadows (either as a palette for experimenting or a good set for quick nice choice). Beard shadow neutralizer (cheap orange lipstick - such as WetNWild will work). Qtips (the more the better), cotton pads, eye makeup remover (I like Nivea) and makeup remover napkins (to cleanup wide area in 2-3 quick shots).

Foundation is pretty important. I find liquid and matte foundation works best for beard coverage. Primer helps your makeup sit on your skin nicer. Elf has a setting spray for like $3 that does a good job of making cheaper makeup hold up a lot longer. I really like mascera+eyeshadow on myself. Red lipstick works better than orange for me as a color corrector. It depends on your beard color.

Have you considered a padded bra or anything?

No but that would be nice.  Pink tones is what I went with, other than lipstick this will the most I've ever done. In the parking lot at my therapist now planning to stop at target afterward. Lol I can see myself buying a tackle box for makeup.

Don't do any such thing. If you are going to Walmart, buy a proper makeup case (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Caboodles-Adored-4-Tray-Train-Case/24511908?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227020573111&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40843849832&wl4=pla-78656917592&wl5=9029966&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=24511908&wl13=&veh=sem). On the other hand, you can search for travel makeup case and you will find something a little more conservative.

If you do your makeup at home, then you don't need a big case. All you need with you is some powder, mascara and lipstick. And maybe a few qtips. You cannot really redo your war paint in the car or a ladiesroom properly, only freshen it up

No it was late they were cleaning up and I was scared. Hard enough just buying the bras. I did have a sales girl help me find the padded bras  small steps I went with a 38 b thinking it would be close as I am broad in chest and shoulders.

Just go to Victoria's Secret and ask for a fitting, that way you'll be buying the right size. I bought one there as a courtesy to the girl who measured me since they get a commission. She was really excited to help a transgender girl getting started.

I'd say buy yourself forms first :) then bras. Forms make a lot of difference in changing your posture and balance. Don't go overboard, if you aren't overweight, B-size is all you need.

I agree.  I bought my bras from a bra shop that makes a point of selling to men.  You can't even work there, if you're not prepared to fit men.  Not only do you get a proper fit, they'll often give advice.

Victoria Secret selection is kind of limited... I mean they target average women, not broad chested transgender folk. And their prices bite...

I was able to find some nice bras in 40b size in Kohls that fitted my chest and my forms real nice. That's why I like it. Not sure which other stores would have a good combo of wide chest / smaller cup / reasonable price and good quality+look.

I just hand wash, using a delicate fabrics detergent.

Most modern washers have a delicate setting.  Just don't add fabric softener and when done hang to dry.  At least this is what my wife and I do with our delicates.

True, the prices are a little high, but from my experience with their panties, they should last a long time. I have panties that I have been wearing for years. 2 of my favorites are from the Second Skin line that was discontinued in the 1990's or so. They go through the wash with jeans on a regular cycle. and yes, I am picky about their condition-the first loose thread or signs of fading-in the trash they go. I love to shop for more panties at Victoria's secret.  I have not bothered to get a bra fitting since I would need a 38-40 a, and they don't sell that size in store or on line. Sorry if this sounds like an ad, but they are about the only store in my town that sells something besides 8pk cotton briefs.

  Hi Jazmine,

If I may also offer a suggestion.. If you are going to wash delicate thinges in a washer, out them into a small net laudry bag made for the job. It well help keep them from damage and make retreiving them easier. And yes, use the delicate cycle.

Hugs,
   Laurie

Its stretchy, so it fits ok, however it shows to many flaws on me to want to wear it.
