Title: Reputation
Post by: Jessica on August 17, 2017, 12:41:16 PM
Hi girls 🙋🏼  There are so many helpful women here and I'm so thankful for them.  I've noticed the +- reputation column.  Does this show if you had been thanked or such.  How can I show my appreciation for some wonderful women that have helped me?
Hugs, Jessica 💁

Reputation points or Karma are shown by the +- to the left of the screen. You  can poke into the profile and discover why in most cases each point was given. In some cases the number of points awarded can be larger than the number of reasons because of several factors. If you read the thing about post ranks and post counts (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,114.0.html), it will say you have most privileges after 15 posts. One of the ones you don't get is the ability to deliver Karma as that comes at 50 posts. This is because there were problems with Karma being award for minor things where as Karma is intended to reward a major accomplishment.

Thank you Laurie and Dena 🙋🏼  I have a few more posts to do till I'll be able to.  That explains why I can't see the thumbs up or down under the avatar.  I'll be prudent when I can.
Love ya girls, Jessica 💁

One note of caution:

Rather than giving a thumbs down to someone for a bad comment, report it to a moderator instead.

At times, the thumbs down can get a bit out of hand.

I saw a posting early this morning that was quite disparaging to all of us here.  I think whoever deserves a thumbs down.
Frowny face, Jessica 🙆

In which case please report it to staff by using the report to moderator button on the lower right of the post.

I tried to find it, but it seems to have been purged thankfully.
Kinda scared me.
Need a hug, Jessica 🙇‍♀️

We often remove posts without leaving a public trace. On the other hand, our actions are logged and we need to fully document our actions in the moderator areas. Ideally we will get to everything before you do but it doesn't always work that way.
