Title: second FFS ... would you like to share some info
Post by: HelloKitty on August 20, 2017, 06:04:36 PM
Hello,

Please note that my language is French, so I apologize for the errors.

I need some help if you want to give me a hand. Your comments, opinions and information helped me at the time when I did my extensive research on the Internet and my analyzes to choose a surgeon for my facial feminization. In the past I had my FFS in 2013 in Buenos Aires. It went well and the result is good, but not exceptional. Unfortunately, people can guess again and I don't always pass. So I'm still being insulted but rarely and I have a lot of difficulty to enter the job market because people judge my appearance (the face).

So, after careful reflection, I decided I need to make corrections and adjustments, for not to say another small FFS. Of course the surgeons haven't changed a lot and I know most of the popular because I had already contacted several of them in 2012. However, it has been a long time and techniques have changed a little bit, and procédures also.

If you wanted to share your recommendations, that would be very much appreciated. I don't think I could afford the American stars of facial feminization surgery. I have to consider that Canadian money doesn't have a high exchange rate. However, distance doesn't matter to me. I am looking for an experienced surgeon with talents and especially with an overall vision.

Thank you and I look forward to you my friends ...

Dear HelloKitty

Sad to hear that... But this is something I surprisingly hear quite often from specific surgeons or teams...

Well... If you don't mind about the distance, then I would recommend the surgeon with which I had my FFS. He's located in Europe.

Take care...  :)

It is really important to tell us what is it that you don't like about your face so we can recomment you a doctor based on our experience. You may want to post picture or two so we can give you an honest advice. Saying that you are unhappy with the results is very general statement that may mean anything.

My face still to much angulor.  The skull temple have to be fill, the zygomatic bones have to be reduce or «rounded».  The jaw have to be reduce for more a V shape.  The nose have to be reduce to be more feminine mostly the tip of the nose (unfortunately it still quaver). And I need cheeks implant because I never gain fat in my face.  Thus I have a flat face ;-)  but I have fat in my neck that could be use  and transfert (I woundering why only there I'm so skinny)

Before I've done forehead and eyebrow arch, nose, and chin and jaw, in Buenos Aires.  I've seen a new place in Argentina in Córdoba (Dr. Torres Amici).  First time I hear about this place.

Well,
Dr. Dr Frans Noorman van der Dussen is maybe the best for noses. He is famous for that. He is also good with bone work (chin and mandible and cheeks I guess). Did you have a consultation with him?

I too am looking for surgeons for a second FFS next year.

PAI in Thailand was recommended to be by two woman on here. They are supposed to be a superior trans related surgical location.

Also, there are two locations in India I am looking into but do not have a lot of information on yet. There is a thread on them on the FFS board. They are:

Dr. Prag Tolang in Mumbai India, I have heard he is inexpensive but there is little internet before and after photos. There is supposed to be a Facebook page with a group of woman sharing information. A woman in India went to Olmec after having difficulty in getting information.

Olmec Clinic in Delhi India, Dr. Kausik. I have read good things about him.

I am looking for soft tissue work and fat transfer and removal too. I went to Dr. Spiegel in the USA for round 1 FFS and he did the heavy work. Now I just want finishing touches. I too am on a very limited budget.

My first FFS was with Dr. DiMaggio.  He didn't all because he convince me in more conservative way because he wants to do what he is effective. The part he've done is good but globaly it's not so feminine.

For my second FFS I really need to reduce my zygomatic arch. I heard Dr. Noorman van der Dussen know the procedure. Some girls said I should go in South korea ...

I've seen Internet results from Dr. Kausik that's seem good.  He's on my list even he's far

In Thaïland, I don't know because some are very happy and others are like disapointed.  Also, it's very far from me.

I've talked with some drs before, Look at before and after pics, talked with some girls and read a lot.  After my analyse at this time I went to BA and some Drs were out of my list and still  ;)

In 2018 (my target) I really want to go with a physician who have the skill, the experience and mostly the global vision of a feminin face.

Before I've exchanged in the Yahoo group but nowaday it's over

It's not easy to decide and that's why I've asked some help from the comunity

Although Blair looks amazing I was not impressed with the photos on his site -- all of them. All the procedures look to be old school, including the FtM images. I guess you get what you pay for.  I will say that looking at Blaire I would not of thought her work was done by the same group.

Sorry to hear you are not happy with your results. We research these things endlessly, spend a fortune to hopefully put surgical procedures in the rear view mirror. Cannot imagine having or wanting to redo over again. My heart definitely goes out to you.

Am still researching for first & with any luck only FFS. As others have mentioned, Dr Parag Telang at DesignerBodyz in Mumbai, India is on my list. He has a website you can contact him through or Jane Watson has set up something on fb called PriyaMed. The few reviews I have seen, her clients are raving about both the Dr & her services for setting everything up. The kicker with Dr. Telang is he breaks FFS down in 2 separate sugeries. While unsure what you may need. If you have to do both, they schedule you to be there approximately 21 days. Also do not know if there is a cost difference between pricing directly with the Dr or going through PriyaMed?

Too note, Jane mentioned the other evening in a post that there are local laws restricting Dr's directly advertising their before & after photos. Am not sure of the specifics of that, just relaying what was posted.
His site is here http://www.designerbodyz.in/index.php

Am also very interested in Dr Jose C Martins Jr in Blumenau, Brazil. He also breaks full FFS down in to 2 separate surgeries. While am unsure of the stay that is required, a distinct difference is that the surgeries happen in a hospital. Not an office type clinic. Would think there is some benefit there in a worst case scenario.

It also seems more & more of the surgical facilities are turning to social media sites & third party people vs loading up their websites with photos. So it makes the research a little more complicated. There is a language barrier here too. While I know the Dr. speaks English, am not sure how many of the staff speak other languages than Portuguese. Much less French.
http://www.transgeneros.com.br/

Wish you the best in your searches. It is difficult to choose, with travel, passports, visas etc on top of surgical quotes. Though the stay along with food*I think* are included within Dr Martins quotes.

I don't know about cost comparisons but have you considered FACIALTEAM in Spain?
http://facialteam.eu/ (http://facialteam.eu/)
http://facialteam.eu/ffs-cost-consultations/skype/ (http://facialteam.eu/ffs-cost-consultations/skype/)
Disclaimer... I am partial to FACIALTEAM since they were my surgical team and I have been happy with their work, not only on myself, but others here who had excellent results. I do not get any financial gain for sharing their info.

They have a large gallery of patients so you can see. They offer free consultations via Skype (see link above).

Generally speaking, I'd recommend you get consultations with any surgical team you feel is a good match for you, or even if you are uncertain. Many surgeons offer free Skype consultations so travel/money isn't even required to get an assessment/estimate... so if it's free and you can do it from home, why not just schedule and talk to as many FFS surgeons as possible about your case?  You may know this, but I'd recommend only discussing things with true FFS surgeons ... meaning maxillofacial FFS surgeons. I think you probably are far beyond needing to know that but FYI.

Last thing... even if you think a surgeon's office that you like is too costly for you... I'd recommend not letting that dissuade you from making use of a free consultation if it's available... if you have a talk and discuss your situation, you never know...  sometimes things work out when you try against the thoughts of disbelief.

Thanks a lot for your answers it help me a lot
and your right Ashley3 I should search in USA and Europe and ask for an estimation. Maybe I'll be surprising that I could be able to afford it with my low canadian dollar value  :D  ;)

I'm thinking to short a bit my face because it's very long.  I read a lot of the post here but I still hesitant

Thanks to continu to help me with your replies
