Title: the nurse for your surgery...

Hey everyone,
I am trying to get a job as a surgical nurse for a surgeon who specializes with Trans patients. I tried to lookup online information similar to this but there doesn't appear to be any literature or research pertaining to trans persons in this scenario (not surprised).

I didn't care when I had my surgery.  I only cared that their nursing skills were demonstrable.
That being said, I still won't go to a male GYN doctor.  I guess I am not totally bias free. :D

It's interesting to me that so many people have said No or Don't care?  I would have thought it would be exponentially the opposite.  Especially considering how we all come here and get advice from others lol? I would feel much better if the person taking care of me was trans and had also been through the procedure I was getting.  When I got electrolysis the first time it was a trans woman and she helped me a ton to relax.  Thank you to everyone - please continue to vote! xoxo
