Title: Question about muscle/strength loss
Post by: BlueJaye on August 27, 2017, 02:58:57 PM
I have an appointment with an endocrinologist in October to discuss HRT. In the mean time, I have a question about strength/muscle loss. On androgen blockers how drastic is the loss of strength/muscle?  It's one of the things about HRT that I don't find appealing. I am fairly active, enjoying running, biking, and swimming.  I am wondering if I will find it difficult to maintain these activities. I'm not scared of a small drop in performance, but don't want to find doing these activities so hard that I no longer enjoy them.

As long as you maintain your fitness you won't have any problems though your performance may drop off a bit over time.

It's taken me 6months to see any noticable loss of strength on both Spiro and Estradiol. And by Noticable I mean it's just a bit more difficult to lift my 140lb gf
