Title: What causes you to worry about someone approval?
Post by: Wild Flower on August 29, 2017, 03:14:23 AM
If this applies to you (people who has this issue, or had experience of dealing with it for many years), what is the underlying factor that makes you care what your mother, father, intermediate family, spouse, kids, others think of you; in the relationship of how you confine to your happiness to their approval?

If your kid, mother, spouse, family did not approve of your decision do you think it's your fault/problem? Or is the ball in their court, and they have to deal with it, reject/accept or make another decision about you?

And if they reject (ultimate fear for some, worst case scenario), would you carry on or dwell on it???

*** spouse is a touchy issue because they married a man/woman originally, so I think transgender people who aren't 100% sure of their gender should at least tell their spouse before going into that route.. but I also think you shouldn't let that get to you. You gave the spouse X amount of years of the one they love physically, but people change with time, it's more akin to "my cisgender partner is dead, and now I have to move on or accept" My personal opinion, for family besides spouse, that's not your fault at all to be who you are.
