Hi, I am Chrissy and I am from WA in Australia.
I am 33 years old and had SRS a couple of years ago in Thailand. What makes my story a little unique i guess is that i had SRS before starting any HRT, real life experience or even seeing a psychologist. To be honest i have only really actually started my transition a few months ago so I am hoping to learn from other peoples experinces on this forum and happy to answer questions about my experience.
Welcome to Susan's Place. That is a somewhat unusual way to do it but it's not the first story I heard that was like that. If I remember correctly I have had two other stories much like yours. You probably need a good deal of information and you have come to the right place to get it. Feel free to ask any questions you might have and we will do our best to answer them.
Hi Dena,
That is good to hear that I am not the only one with this experience on the board... I haven't found anyone else to date but i'll admit I am only just starting to research into all this. Thanks for the welcome and will definitely post questions I have as they arise :)
Hi Chrissy, welcome to Susan's!
Wow you're right, very unique story.
I am MTF and thought I had done things a bit different by eliminating nearly all hair before starting HRT. I will probably get SRS within the next year or so, and might do FFS this winter.
See you around!
Kendra

Hi Chrissy,
Welcome to the site.
I too have run across a few people who have approached transition the way you are. The beauty is that there is no one way to transition. Do what works for you.
I also wanted to share some info we try to pass along to fairly newly posting members:

Hi Chrissy! At last - another sandgroper to talk to. So many questions have I got for you!
I'm desperate to start hrt but I'm at a loss as to who exactly to see here in W.A. to make it happen. There's not exactly much info or choice available, it seems.
I'd be so grateful for any info you could share with me so I can get about getting on.
I shall patiently (I'm excited - Big Kev excited!) await your reply!
Hugs...Chaerlie.

Hi Chaerlie
Happy to answer any questions you might have but im based over in Melbourne now unfortunately so I can't help much for medical facilities in WA. I was based over at the mines in WA for a fair while but now ive decided to commit fully to my transition i relocated and got a job here in in Vic.
Probably easiest to PM me or we can meet on chat.
Cheers
Chrissy
Hi Chrissy,
Your story is very intriguing for me! I confirm each day that everyone's paths are different. What made you pursue SRS without having even been to therapy? How did you feel after the surgery? Did you ever have second thoughts?
