I just got pellets, and within an hour i got tingling in my lips and also flushed cheeks. Oh my lips are pink now too, like a little girl. I love it:) Anybody else have this reaction to e?
Yes. ;D
Yep! I get rosey-cheeked very easily. I love it too. :D
You think your lips are tingling now, just wait until the jalapeno cravings kick in!

My capsicum cravings have reduced. I only need an 1/8 of a teaspoon of ghost pepper sauce in a three egg omelette instead of a 1/4. [emoji3]

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!
Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Yes, but to a lesser degree. However, several people commented that I started to look different.

I just finished a jar of hot jalapeno slices including drinking the brine. Good thing I've got a spare. Olives and jalapenos don't last long around here any more. Yep they are now snack food.
Hugs,
Laurie

Is this just anecdotal about the spicy food? I've always enjoyed the spiciest of spicy food, so I don't notice a difference. I haven't heard of hrt influencing your taste buds.
Hi Bari Jo,
I believe in my case (and I've heard it from others too) that salt cravings due to the diuretic effect of spiro can cause the cravings for pickles, olives and such. I have always liked the more bitter olives like Sicilian and Greek, even the Spanish olives but now they do not stand a chance in my home. I frequent the fridge to snack on them often. The jalapeno slices are a relatively new addition to the mix. I also never even thought of drinking the brine until I read it here in another post. I drink it now. The hot jalapeno brine can cause a good coughing fit if swallowed too soon. I savor it in small sips like tasting a wine before swallowing.
But to answer what I think you are asking, I believe it to be an effect of my HRT regimen.
Hugs,
Laurie
I like it. I don't know if I mentioned but 7-11 now sells ghost pepper peanuts. They are spicy, too spicy for most people:) I love them.
Bari Jo
I noticed the hot pepper thing a year or two around here and a lot of people agreed. I then mentioned it to my endocrinologist. The next time I went in he told me he had asked some of his other patients and some of them crave them too. Guess it's just a not too uncommon reaction to HRT.

Now I eat spicy food that would cause most to people cry. I use sriracha like children use ketchup.
I thought I was just crazy!
So glad to here is not just me.
I hadn't really made the hormonal connection.
I literally have not found a spicy threshold for my mouth. They only thing that holds me back is the toll it can cause on the rest of my system and when it leaves. ;)
