Just started HRT today!! I'm so happy!! So I was prescribed Estradiol & Spironolactone. Taking both twice daily. I was just wondering how this compares with what others have taken. I know we are all different, and therefore require different meds, but I'm just curious. And I'm also curious how long before I can expect to see some feminization/breast growth. Again, I understand everyone's different, but I'm curious how HRT affected some of my sisters.

Megan is correct. Dosages are not allowed on this site. I am pleased to see you have started on hrt and it is plain you are excited about it, as you should be. I was excited and a bit nervous about starting mine back in December. I felt it was the right thing for me but still harbored some doubts as to whether I should actually be doing it or not.

Hi Jessi 🙋🏼 I've now been nearly 2 months on Spironolactone and estradiol patch and I definitely can say that after a week or so of tenderness, my breast buds in both sides have begun to develop.

Low dose Estrogen patch and Spiro pill here. Yes everyone is different and everyone reacts differently as well. For starters my T was low to begin with and I don't know how much that has had to play with my changes. I started feeling the mental changes that first week. There was a calmness like someone turned off a TV that had only static on. Then after a week I noticed my skin was getting softer and less oily. Then about a month in I woke up with breast tenderness. Two weeks later I am getting some growth. Not a lot. I can feel a very little movement when jumping and there isn't enough there to require the use of a bra yet.
That's what I'm up to at this time. If there are any other changes I haven't really noticed them yet.

OOPS!! I'm sorry, I didn't realize that was a no-no! I understand why... Didn't occur to me before, tho... Desperate tho I was to transition I would never have dreamed of self medicating hormones. I'd have been afraid of doing irreparable damage to my body... Plus I did enough of that with recreational drugs, lol... Anyway, thanks for that chart! That's a big help! My doc said that my hair would change too, did anyone experience that? If so how did it change??
Mine didn't change much. On the other hand, watching youtube styling videos is free and highly effective on "regrowing" hair. Gotta do the homework if you want to pass the class...
At 9 months, the A cup I had developed from my first run at HRT firmed and were nice perky booblets. I was definitely happy and thought I could live with what had happened at that point. My endo was like, " Oh no Honey, this is just the beginning. They have a ways to go yet. Patience!"...now I have a near C cup at shy of 2 years. You will likely feel the tenderness start pretty early and I can remember the first few months wondering if anything was happening. This is a gradual process that builds on itself. Enjoy the ride!

This gives me hope. I'm on my third HRT round. I really think I will transition fully, or at least stay on hrt long term. I'd like to see more growth in my future. I'd also like to see a more feminine face. I'm a bit just a bit manly.
OK. I was curious about hair cuz i tried growing mine long yrs ago & it just grew out... It is very thick & wavy tho so I think I'll b able 2 style it now that I'm going girly with it... After a little research anyway, lol. I can't wait til I feel feminine enough to pass, I sooo badly want to start living as a girl... My testosterone levels are already low (thanks to methadone, the one & only upside to opiate addiction), does anyone know how that will affect HRT?

Your face might change a lot. I can't see it in myself but others can.
A few months ago I had to take my wife in for a new military ID card. I had to show my ID as her sponsor. I showed both my old military ID and drivers license and they didn't believe it was me. Finally, after a while they checked my fingerprint to verify I was who I said I was and then gave me new ID with a new picture.
They were really nice about it all though and I thought it was all kind of funny.

You have some nice facial features. Frame them in a women's hairstyle and you'll barely recognize yourself...in a good way.
